Canstruction: Jan 25 and 26 Belton's 3rd Annual Design and Build Competition. Canstruction is a three day event in which teams from the community build enormous structures from canned goods, which are then used to fill the food pantry of Helping Hands Ministry. The structures are judged by a celebrity jury and awarded at the Gala & Awards Dinner. Every person in attendance during the weekend expo is given 1 vote (per canned food item/$1) to vote for his or her favorite structure. The structure with the most votes will be awarded as the Community Favorite. Pray with us that the 2013 event will be even more successful than the last! Thursday, January 24, 5PM-8PM Watch the competition up close, on the floor or high above, in the stadium seats. Suggested admission: $5 or 5 canned goods. Friday, January 25, 8AM-8PM Exhibits are open to the public. Admission: $1 or 1 canned good. Saturday, January 26, 8AM-4PM & 6PM-8PM Exhibits are open to the public from 8AM-4PM. The Gala & Awards Dinner will be held from 6-8PM. RSVP online at reservation@helpinghandsbelton.org or by calling 254.939.7355.
