Architectural Construction Previously, Prasat Mueang Thi was a group of five brick prasat located on the same brick foundation. The main temple was positioned at the center surrounding with four smaller prasat. At present, only three prasat remained-the main temple, the northeastern prasat and southeastern prasat. The main temple was constructed with brick in square planning and larger than the other four. The room structure was dense and in cruciform layout.

Archeological and Historical Significances of the Site Prasat Mueang Thi is a tall building dissimilar to the common Khmer prasat. From the evidences found, two theories are suggested by the historians. The first one, it was once the location of Khmer prasat before reconstruction during late Ayutthaya-early Bangkok periods (18th-19th centuries) in which resulted in changing the structures. The second one, it was constructed during late Ayutthaya-early Bangkok periods (18th-19th centuries). Without architectural components typically found in Khmer prasat, the second theory is more reliable. However, Prasat Mueang Thi is one of the evidences suggested the settlements mentioned in the legends and Kuay people who resided at Mueang Thi during 18th-19th centuries-the times while Lan Chang culture influenced northeastern Thailand.
