LIBRARY OPENING TIMES

Mon 9.20 am – 4.00 pm Tue 9.20 am – 4.00 pm Wed 9.20 am – 4.00 pm Thu 9.20 am – 4.00 pm Fri 9.20 am – 3.50 pm

All students are members of the School Library. Students in years 9, 10 & 11 can borrow 2 items at a time.

Years 12 & 13 can borrow 4 items at a time. Books are stamped out for 3 weeks. DVDs can be borrowed overnight. There is no charge. All items borrowed from the library must be returned on time. Please ask for help if you are unable to find the information/items you need.

Type in a keyword, author, title or part of a title. Click Go. Searchstar will show you a list of sources of information available. Once you have found a list of resources, double click on the title that interests you most.

This will show you a lot more information such as when it was published. Now click on Floor Plan‌


A flashing red spot will show you where to locate the book in the Library.

How the library is arranged Like most libraries, we use THE DEWEY DECIMAL CLASSIFICATION system for organising the non-fiction (fact) books. This divides the whole of knowledge into 10 main sections and gives every subject within that section its own, unique subject number. 001-099

The REFERENCE books are in the same order and have an R at the beginning of the Dewey number. Fiction is organised alphabetically by the author’s surname
