ANTONIA HAGELAEN MCINTOSH, the exsecretary of Club La Costa World,
contacted the Foreigners Department of the Mijas Town Hall to ask about the possibility
of a donation of computer material, as they had just updated the computers of their staff. “This time Club La Costa World has donated a total of 156 computer screens that will be sent to the public schools,” said Ana Skou head of the FRD. “We would like to thank Jose Gutierrez the director of Club La Costa World for this donation,” pointed out Mario Bravo councillor of the Foreigners Department. This donation has been coordinated between the Foreigners Department and that of the IT and Operative Services Departments. Many charities and parents associations benefited from this donation.

Masonic cheque for Age Care DAVID BURNS, Master of the Fuengirola Masonic Lodge 96, nominated Age Care as his Master’s Charity. Handing over the cheque for €1,300 to David Mantle, President of Age Care, he explained the Lodge is supporting Age Care because “Age Care is a local charity doing such a worthwhile job with the local older community. As we all know, money is very hard to come by, so we are happy to do all we can to help. Also, we are not getting any younger and
someday we may need the help of Age Care.” David Burns also said: “The Lodge is not a social club; our aim is to raise funds for local charities. However, we have a full social calendar including dinners, quizzes and race meetings and new members are always welcome. This year we raised over €3,100 for local charities” David Mantle thanked David and the members of the Masonic Lodge saying how grateful Age Care was.
