‘Grip it and rip it’

FINAL LADIES: Linda and Barbara.

CAPTAIN Derek Leonard's enticing title of the Roda 'Grip it and rip it' challenge lured a good company of Boxers members to take on the always challenging Murcia course. Cloud cover for much of the day made the brisk winds sharper and, with recent fine hollowtyning and subsequent dressing of many of the greens, this helped to make for a lowscoring day. Winner of the first division was Tony Harwin with 36 points. Second was Martin Fisk (34) and Steve Gilmore third (33). Top of the second division was Adrian Ball (36) followed by Henry Becket (35) and Roy Lewis (32) In the third division winner was John Kinch (27) and second Martin Allen (26). Boxers next meeting will be at Alboran on Monday for a Turkey Trot.
