This is a beautiful work and it will find its place in every caver’s library. The willingness to create a work of quality and the cost of the investments in CMYK has limited the number of copies to 200. This is perhaps little in comparison to the classics that attract cavers from Franche-Comté, Burgundy, Alsace, Paris Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Germany. We hope that reading this book will provide the reader with as much fun as we had while exploring this great network.

Le réseau est notamment placé dans son contexte géographique, géologique, hydrologique, karstique, spéléologique, paléontologique, préhistorique, climatique et d’archéologie industrielle (fer, verre)… Les 2 grands réseaux sont décrits dans le détail. C’est un bel ouvrage qui trouvera sa place dans la bibliothèque de tous les spéléos. La volonté de faire un livre de qualité et le coût de l’investissement en quadrichromie ont limité le tirage à 200 exemplaires. C’est peut-être peu au regard de la fréquentation de ces classiques qui attirent spéléos franccomtois, bourguignons, alsaciens, parisiens, belges, hollandais, suisses, allemands... Nous espérons que sa lecture procurera autant de plaisir que nous en avons à explorer ce grand réseau.
