DOLOMITES TOUR 1st day) MILANO – VERONA – CORTINA D'AMPEZZO 8.30 am. Pick-up in Milan at Jolly Machiavelli, in the city centre. Outgoing to Verona with city tour. This town is known all around the world for its Coliseum called Arena and main symbol as Juliet balcony, that represents the most important love-story of the literature, written by Shakespeare and inspired to real facts of the two enemy Verona families. We’ll visit the old square of the market, Piazza delle Erbe, surrounded by some of the most famous buildings, like Torre lamberti, the City Hall, the tribunal. Next, departure to Cortina d’Ampezzo with route through Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa and Passo Pordoi, some of the most wonderful valley of Dolomites area. This region includes many small villages typical of a mountain setting. Cortina d’Ampezzo, probably the most renowned one because of its historical importance in Italian summer and winter holidays since the 1950’s, is in the middle of a large valley of Boite. Cortina is not only a tourism resort but also the centre of traditional works, as for example, wood manufacturing. Overnight in the hotel. 2nd day) CORTINA - LAGO DI MISURINA - TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO – LAGO DI BRAIES – VAL PUSTERIA Y VAL BADIA – CORTINA After breakfast, Outing to Lake Misurina (situated in a perfect position among woods and Dolomites tops, three peaks of Lavaredo the most important ones, probably one of the best places for alpinism experts). Then, way to Lake Braies, with a strange and shining colour blue of its water that make it as unique in the world. Visit of Val Pusteria and Val Badia, probably the most typical valley of the region. Again to Cortina to have free time for the rest of the day. Overnight in the hotel. 3rd day) CORTINA - PASSO FALZAREGO– PASSO GARDENA - PASSO SELLA - CANAZEI – PASSO COSTALUNGA - CAREZZA - BOLZANO Breakfast. Route through the several Dolomite Pass: Passo Falzarego which is situated in the basin that surrounds Cortina. Between Val di Fassa and Val Gardena, it gives us a marvellous view, both in winter and summer. People who have the desire and the passion could start their outing up to Sassolungo. Then, Canazei, important place for tourism in all seasons, due to the wonderful view given by this part of Dolomites that call thousands of tourists every month. Free lunch. Second half of the day dedicated to the visit of Lake Carezza, close to Passo Costalunga. Finally, arrive to Bolzano. Important commercial centre in the Middle Age, it has increased its industry productions during the World War. Tourism still represents the first resource of local economy. Visit of Duomo: the Cathedral, with a gothic style, is considered as the symbol of the town; Dominican church, painted with frescos of Bolzano old school. Finally, we’ll visit the main central streets, as Via dei Portici, core of the Medieval town. Overnight in the hotel. 4th day) BOLZANO - TRENTO - MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO - PASSO DEL TONALE - MILANO Breakfast. Departure to Trento, capital of the region. The city is dominated by the castle, known as del Buon Consiglio, symbol of the House of Habsburg which dominated the district for many centuries. Santa Maria Maggiore, built in the XVI century and one of the first work of Renaissance and Gothic age. Palace Geremia, buiding that represents the XVI century. A part of the day is dedicated to travel around the Trentino Dolomites, with Malè, Madonna di Campiglio, which became a place for tourism even in the XII century and remains nowadays as one of the most renowned place of all the Alps region. Visit. Free lunch. Departure to Ponte di Legno (that means Wood bridge), an important winter ski resort and summer relaxing place. We are next to Passo Tonale (1883 m.). Finally, back to Milan and end of the tour.

TOUR DE LA COSTA 1ST DAY) MILAN – SANREMO – MONTECARLO - NICE Pick up at 8.30 am in the Jolly Hotel Machiavelli, Milan city centre. Departure to Sanremo, definied as the city of flowers and sun, is known all over the world for the Italian Song Festival. Its economy is based on flower farming and tourism. This little town of Riviera of Ponente (West Riviera), offer many possibilities of entertainment like beaches and promenades. Its famous Casino is situated on the top of the most elegant street of the town, where you can find shops of clothes and many others. Free lunch. In the afternoon, outgoing to Monaco. You can see the strong influence of Liguria in this city dominated by Grimaldi princes palace. Visit through the narrow street of the centre to take picture of the Aquarius, and the Cathedral in which princess Grace was buried. Then, short route around the city of Montecarlo, famouse everywhere for its characteristic Grand Prix. You can observe the futuristic palace Grimaldi Forum and probably the most important European casino. Back to Nice. Overnight in the hotel. 2ND DAY) NICE - ST. RAPHAEL – ST. TROPEZ – COSTA DEL ESTEREL - NICE Breakfast. Full day of excursion around the French Riviera. First, visit of St.Raphael and St. Tropez, famouse both for their beaches but especially for a great number of stars who spend their holidays in the neighbourhood. Free lunch. Back to Nice, through the Esterel Coast, best known as Corniche d’or, due to its wonderful panorama. Small beaches but also great peaks and rocks surround a clear and shining sea. Overnight in the hotel. 3RD DAY) NICE – ST. PAUL DE VENCE – GRASSE – CANNES - NICE Breakfast. Departure to St. Paul de Vence. This is a small medieval village, that still presents the old wall, built by Frank the 1st in 1537; Chagall and Prévert have spent many years of their artistic career here. Grasse is famouse for the production of parfumes but also presents a nice historical centre, with Hotel de Ville and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Free lunch. Outgoing to Cannes, probably the most modern town of the district: beach resort, place of many cultural events, as i.e the Film festival, celebrated in the middle of May. Back to Nice. Overnight in the hotel. 4TH DAY) NICE - MILAN Breakfast. Free time in Nice till the lunch time. In the afternoon, back to Milan. End of the tour.

LIGURIA TOUR 1ST DAY) MILAN – GENOA At 08:30 am departure from Hotel Jolly Machiavelli to Genoa. Seaport, one of the largest of the South Europe, the first in Italy; 5th city of the country, this town has an important history, as a Maritime Republic. Its historical centre has grown around the dock, is full of narrow and characteristic streets and has a medieval origin. Visit. Visit of the modern zone of “Ancient Port”, restored for the 500 years of America discovery by Christopher Columbus. Here we find the Aquarius, the biggest in Europe. Optional visit. Ferry to Cinque Terre. (if the atmospheric conditions doesn’t permit the boarding, the visit will be done with a panoramic itinerary in minibus) Heritage of the Unesco, these 5 fishermen villages, symbolize a group unique in the World for its beautiful landscape and the medieval style of their buildings. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon coming back to Portovenere and then to Genoa. Overnight in the hotel. 4TH DAY) GENOA – S.TA MARGHERITA LIGURE – PORTOFINO – CAMOGLI – MILAN Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Santa Margherita, famous seaside city of Riviera of Levante, located in the Tigullio Gulf. Leaving to Portofino. Around a little square, you can have a nice view of a group of high, coloured and picturesque houses. In the small port, during the high season, you can see expensive yachts from every part of the world. Visit. Leave in minibus and return to Camogli. Famous tourist centre, offers one of the most suggestive example of architecture of Liguria coast. In the afternoon, return to Milan.

NORTH LAKES TOUR 1ST

MILAN – STRESA – LUGANO – COMO

Departure at 08.30 am from Jolly Hotel Machiavelli in Milan to the Lake Maggiore, one of the largest Italian ones. Wedged between the pre-alps, Lake Maggiore, of clear glacial origin, is framed in its lower section by the soft hills of the region of Novara, and in the upper section, by high mountain peaks, some of which with perpetual snow. These features make possible an average temperature during all seasons, milder in winter than in the inner areas and cooled down in summer by the breezes that blow on the water's surface changing its colour. Due to its mild climate, many species of flowers and plants typical to the subtropical climate could adapt to the lake areas climate. Arrival in Stresa, an international tourist resort situated in a central but also panoramic and picturesque position along the lakeside roadway, stands just in front of the ‘Borromee’ islands. Tour of the Pescatori island (Fishermen island) by boat. The island, was named after the main activity which over the centuries has characterized this fishermen town. Although only few families still maintain the original activity, the identity of the small community appears intact. Tourists are fascinated by its simple houses, the narrow lanes, the stone portals and the attractive underpasses. We will continue to the Bella Island, where we may visit the Borromeo Palace with its magnificent gardens. Return to Stresa (free time for lunch, not included). In the afternoon, after a Panoramic tour around the lake, we reach Lugano (Switzerland border). Breakfast at the hotel. Short visit of Como. An amazing small province rich of atmospheres, panoramas, and human takeovers. In little kilometres you can admire the high mountain over the lake, the wild alpine valley and the industrialized brianzola area, the city area of Como and the villages of little houses. Lake Como. It has been famous for its setting at the intersection of the three branches of the Y-shaped lake, and it is also known as Lario. Board the boat we reach Bellagio, situated at the tip of the peninsula separating the lake's two southern arms, with the Alps visible across the lake to the north. Divided in three branches, is situated on the most renowned beach on the Italian landscape. It is a picturesque village with small streets, luxury hotels and villas and gardens. Visit. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, departure by boat to Varenna. Panoramic tour and departure to Bergamo. City characterized by a division of the urban structure on two levels, the “Lower town” (Città bassa), modern and dynamic and the famous “ Upper town” (Città alta), a truly historic and artistic jewel. After a short walking tour inside the city centre, departure to Brescia. Overnight in the hotel. 3RD DAY) BRESCIA – SIRMIONE – RIVA DEL GARDA – VERONA Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Lake Garda, the largest Italian one. Panoramic tour on the West Coast. Lake Garda offers the visitor a splendid natural scenery, full of colours, surrounded by the Dolomites of Brenta in the north and the gentle slopes of the hills in the south. A rich vegetation flourishes thanks to the Mediterranean climate: lemon trees, oleanders, magnolias and bouganville. The cultivation of vineyards and olive groves produces good wines and olive oil. Arrival in Sirmione where the lake offers its best panorama, really sunny with the blue of its waters and the green of its trees. Boat tour to have a nice view of the Sirmione Cape, the castle and the Catullo’s ruins. Departure to Riva del Garda on the North side of the Lake. Its historic centre shows the signs of the Venetian domain. Free time for lunch and then outgoing to Verona. Full day dedicated to visit the town. Turin, of Roman origin, first capital of the Kingdom of Italy, main centre of car factory FIAT, cultural and university centre, it is nowadays the fourth biggest town of the country for inhabitants and the third for industrial development. In the morning, visit through the famous Savoy Route, including the Royal Palace, in Venaria, the greatest abode of the Royal Family. This imposing structure inspired the French architects during the project of the Palace of Versailles, near Paris. Built in the second half of the 1600 by command of the Savoy Duke Charles Emmanuel that gave it as a gift to his wife, the palace presents the main central building as well as the largest park of the region. Then, continue to Superga, the second hill of the region. Here, visit to the Basilica, built at the beginning of the 1700 by command of the King of Sardinia, Victor Amadeus II as the dedication to the Virgin in order to celebrate the win of the Piedmont Army versus France and Spain. Visit of a typical wine cellar in order to taste the best wines of the region. Then, continue to Grinzane Cavour, that houses the homonym castle and some of the main wine bars of the area. There, the first Italian Prime Minister, Camillo Cavour created the myth of the Barolo. In an amazing trip among hills and vineyards, arrive to Alba, town considered as the capital of the Langhe, district of hills and strong production of wines, known also as the regional leader in the ambit of buying and selling of truffles and chocolates (Ferrero, the multinational factory in the production of tea, chocolate, biscuits all over the world). Founded in the pre-Roman age, Alba had an important role in the Middle Age. Visit of the Cathedral, the old town centre with the road of business, Vittorio Emanuele and Cavour and the City Hall Palace. Free lunch. Then, route to achieve Asti. The city presents Roman and baroque style and tracks of the Middle Age and of the Renaissance. In the world, it is known due to its top-production of wines, of which the most important one is the Asti Spumante. Visit of the downtown. 4th day) TURIN – AOSTA – COURMAYEUR – MILAN Breakfast, departure to Fenis to look up to the castle, built in the XII century, located in the highest valley of the region. Built by command of the family Challant because of a reason of prestige, now it represents one of the most charming masterpieces of that age in all Northern Italy. Then, short walk in Aosta, capital of the autonomous region of Aosta Valley, the smallest region of our country, located in the middle of the highest mountains of the Alps. Old town, founded before Christ and partially built by the Romans according to the typical style of a Roman camp (core and parallel streets). Still today Roman tracks are extremely evident: Arch of Augustus, the Praetorian gates, the old entrances of the city and the modern district with the modern works, as the Cathedral and Piazza Chanoux with the City Hall. Move to Courmayeur, small village located at the bottom of the Mont Blanc, the last Italian place before the frontier with France. Entered in the collective imaginary due to its 11 km long tunnel between Italy and France under the Mont Blanc, it presents a unique and wonderful landscape among the best and most fascinating peaks of the Western Alps. VENETO AND FRIULI TOUR 1st day) MILAN – VERONA – PADUA Departure at 8.30 am, Hotel Jolly Machiavelli, Milan to achieve Verona. Visit of the city universally known for the Arena and the love story between Romeo and Juliet. Our visit starts in Castelvecchio, the old castle over the Adige River, belonged to the family Della Scala with a short walk on the bridge, from which you can admire all the town; Piazza Brà that houses the Roman amphitheatre, Piazza dei Signori, with the City Hall, the Palace of the Tribunali, Juliet house with the famous balcony. Free time for lunch. Then, departure to Padua. This is an important city in economics ambit in a extremely rich and developed area and gives hospitality to one of the oldest Italian university. Padua is probably known in all the world because of the Portuguese Fernando Martim, well known as the venerated Saint Anthony of Padua. NORTH LAKES AND DOLOMITES TOUR 1ST DAY) MILAN – STRESA – LUGANO – COMO Departure at 08.30 am from Jolly Hotel Machiavelli in Milan to the Lake Maggiore, one of the largest Italian ones. Wedged between the pre-alps, Lake Maggiore, of clear glacial origin, is framed in its lower section by the soft hills of the region of Novara, and in the upper section, by high mountain peaks, some of which with perpetual snow. These features make possible an average temperature during all seasons, milder in winter than in the inner areas and cooled down in summer by the breezes that blow on the water's surface changing its colour. Due to its mild climate, many species of flowers and plants typical to the sub-tropical climate could adapt to the lake areas climate. Arrival in Stresa, an international tourist resort situated in a central but also panoramic and picturesque position along the lakeside roadway, stands just in front of the ‘Borromee’ islands. Tour of the Pescatori island (Fishermen island) by boat. The island, was named after the main activity which over the centuries has characterized this fishermen town. Although only few families still maintain the original activity, the identity of the small community appears intact. Tourists are fascinated by its simple houses, the narrow lanes, the stone portals and the attractive underpasses. 4TH DAY) VERONA – GENOA Breakfast in the hotel and visit of this famous city, Verona. This town is known all around the world for its Coliseum called Arena and main symbol as Juliet balcony, that represents the most important love-story of the literature, written by Shakespeare and inspired to real facts of the two enemy Verona families. We’ll visit the old square of the market, Piazza delle Erbe, surrounded by some of the most famous buildings, like Torre lamberti, the City Hall, the tribunal. Next, departure to Cortina d’Ampezzo with route through Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa and Passo Pordoi, some of the most wonderful valley of Dolomites area. This region includes many small villages typical of a mountain setting. Cortina d’Ampezzo, probably the most renowned one because of its historical importance in Italian summer and winter holidays since the 1950’s, is in the middle of a large valley of Boite. Cortina is not only a tourism resort but also the centre of traditional works, as for example, wood manufacturing. 6th day) BONIFACIO –AJACCIO – CORTE – SAINT FLORENT – BASTIA Breakfast. Visit of the city. Under the control of Genoa Republic for a long time, this town is located at the bottom of the island near the windy “Bocche di Bonifacio”. Visit of the port and the downtown. Road through the region to reach Ajaccio, the capital. It is the second biggest dock of the island (after Bastia). Near there, we’ll visit the old district, with narrow streets built in order to defend the town. In 1769, the 15th of August, Napoleone was born there. Departure to Corte, the old capital of the island, main cultural centre, headquarter of the unique university where the ancient Corse language is still spoken. Visit and free time. Departure to Saint Florent in the North coast of the island. In the past, it was only a fishermen village, while now it is an important fashion place. You can visit the old town or take picture of the wonderful citadela, Genoa age monument. We suggest the visit of Santa Maria Assunta, before having an aperitif in Place des Portes.
