Toronto to Amsterdam

Depart Toronto Pearson International Airport Terminal 3 on KLM flight. Overnight flight to Amsterdam.

Day 2 – Saturday, 24 May 2014

Amsterdam to Cape Town

Arrive Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Connect with KLM to Cape Town. Arrive Cape Town International Airport. Welcome to South Africa! Our local representative/ guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel. Check in and the rest of the day is at leisure. The hotel is situated in the heart of Cape Town combining historic charm with contemporary style. Overnight stay at the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel

Day 3 – Sunday, 25 May 2014

Cape Town

Enjoy a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula. Travel along Clifton and Camps Bay, before crossing over to Hout Bay where you may choose to join an optional boat cruise to Seal Island. From here drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives. Board a funicular to get to the top of the Peninsula to witness the symbolic meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and enjoy spectacular views over False Bay. After an included seafood lunch, continue to Simonstown and visit the African Penguin breeding colony at Boulders Beach. On the return to Cape Town visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Day 4 – Monday, 26 May 2014

Cape Town

Set off on an exploration of Cape Town, known affectionately as the ‘Mother City’. Our tour will take in the Houses of Parliament, lively Greenmarket Square, Company Gardens, SA Museum, Cape Castle and Table Mountain with spectacular views over the city and Peninsula. The afternoon is at leisure. You could take an optional tour to Robben Island. Overnight stay at the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel B

Day 5 – Monday, 27 May 2014

Cape Town

This morning set off for the Winelands, a delightful drive which winds its way through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads. The first stop is Stellenbosch with canal-lined avenues and magnificent examples of Cape Dutch architecture where you can do wine tasting, coupled with a chocolate and dessert tasting. Onward, over the scenic Helshoogte Pass, to Franschhoek, founded by French Huguenots over 350 years ago and widely regarded as the culinary capital of South Africa, where a further wine tasting is included at one of the renowned estates here. Lunch is included enroute. Dinner in the Winelands (dinner not included). Return to Cape Town later this evening. Overnight stay at the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel B,L

Day 6 – Tuesday, 28 May 2014 Cape Town to Sabi Sands Game Reserve / Lion Sands After breakfast transfer to Cape Town Domestic Airport for our flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. On arrival transfer to the world renowned Sabi Sands Game Reserve and check into our lodge in time for lunch. Family owned and managed since 1933, Lion Sands Private Game Reserve is the only private reserve to have access to the perennial Sabie River. Lion Sands River lodge is situated on the banks of the Sabie River under a canopy of trees dating back almost 800 years, with the swimming pool and lounging deck area being one of the many prime game viewing spots at the lodge. Spend our days enjoying morning and afternoon game drives with highly qualified game rangers and Shangaan trackers to spot Africa's "Big Five". Your safari experience includes all meals, soft drinks, local brand beers and spirits, house wines, safari activities, teas/coffees, game drive refreshments & snacks. During our stay you will have the opportunity to visit the Mazyanyane School which was founded and funded by the African Pre-School Society with charitable funding by Canadians. Day 9 – 31 May

Lion Sands to Livingstone to Chobe National Park

Early breakfast and transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for Livingstone, Zambia. On arrival take a road transfer to Chobe and check into Chobe Chilwero located on the banks of the Chobe River bordering the renowned Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. This luxurious lodge offers silver service, gourmet meals and fine wines against the backdrop of mesmerizing African sunrises and sunsets over the river. The main lounge area opens out to the rolling lawns and the split-level swimming pool with the river beyond. After lunch, relax and then enjoy a river cruise later this afternoon. Day 10 – 01 Jun

Chobe National Park

Today, enjoy a game drive and a river cruise to view the largest elephant populations in Africa. Activities are during early morning and late afternoon. Day 11 – 02 Jun

Chobe National Park to Livingstone

Set off on our last morning game activity before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Check out and transfer by road to Livingstone. Check into the Royal Livingstone Hotel, located immediately upstream from the Victoria Falls, on the forested banks of the great Zambezi River in Zambia. This hotel epitomizes the regal stature of a bygone era. The sparkling Victorian swimming pool visually links the river with the terraces of the hotel, and there is a sweeping timber deck jutting into the swirling water of the Zambezi. Later this afternoon, enjoy a Sundowner Cruise down the Zambezi River whilst enjoying drinks and finger snacks. The cruise offers great photo opportunities against spectacular African sunsets – the perfect end to a perfect day! Overnight stay at the Royal Livingstone in a luxury room. B

Day 12– 03 Jun

Livingstone

This morning, our guide will escort us around the Falls sharing some facts and history along the way, while viewing the Falls from different vantage points. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay at the Royal Livingstone in a luxury room. B

Day 13 – 04 Jun

Livingstone to Johannesburg to Amsterdam

Transfer to Livingstone Airport after a leisurely breakfast this morning in time for our flight back to Johannesburg. Check out of the airport for a short drive around Johannesburg and then enjoy a farewell dinner at Moyo’s Restaurant and return to board our KLM flight. Overnight flight to Amsterdam. B,D

Day 14 – 05 Jun

Amsterdam to Toronto

Arrive Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. You are in transit for KLM flight to Toronto. Arrive in Toronto (Terminal 3). END OF HOLIDAY!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS Airfares are per person, based on double occupancy and subject to availability at time of booking. Deposit & Final Payment: A non-refundable deposit of $2,500 p.p. is required at time of reservations. A second deposit of $2,500 p.p. is required on Sep 15, 2013. Final payment is due on Feb 15, 2014. Cancellation Penalties: Deposit paid at time of booking: $2,500 is non-refundable once your tour arrangements are confirmed in writing to you $ 5,000 p.p. will be non refundable after Sep 15, 2013. Between 90 days and date of departure 100 % of the tour cost. No refunds are made after departure. Travel Documents Required: A valid Canadian Passport - which must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the tour return date to Canada. Zambia visa is required and will be available at entry point (Livingstone airport). Cash payment currently US$50 per person. Health Requirements: MALARIA shots and pills are recommended. We recommend that you check with your doctor, who knows your medical history, or the Local International Health Authorities for advice. Yellow fever inoculation certificate (“yellow card”) is mandatory. Seat Selection and Baggage restrictions: Seats are allocated by the Airlines; however we will try our best to accommodate your requests. Recommended Baggage is 1 Checked Bag 23 kg (50 lbs.) and 1 carry-on per person. IMPORTANT: On domestic flights total allowable weight is only 20 kg and a Baggage Surcharge may be collected for any excess. Soft suitcases are recommended for transportation on safari vehicle. Tour Price: The prices are based on rates in effect at the time of printing. These prices are established in accordance with airfares, exchange rates and various other factors.
