THE TIMBERS OF EUREKA RENTALS To rent any Timbers’ facility or to check availability, call the Eureka Parks and Recreation Department at (636) 938-6775. We accept reservations one year in advance on a first come, first served basis. Cancellation of the rental agreement must be submitted in writing no less than forty-five days prior to the rental date otherwise 50% of the rental fee is forfeited.

To reserve any of our eight (8) pavilions, or the gazebo at West Frisco Park, call the Eureka Parks and Recreation Department at (636) 938-6775 or stop by The Timbers. The cost is $40 for Eureka residents and $65 for non-residents. We accept reservations for the current calendar year on a first come, first served basis. Residents can reserve beginning the first business day of January. Non-residents can reserve beginning the first business day of February.

1. Parks open at dawn. (Except Kircher Park which opens at 7:00 a.m.) All Parks close at dusk (except West Frisco which closes at 2:00 a.m.) 2. Fires are only allowed in barbecue pits. 3. All trash, rubbish and debris must be placed in proper containers. 4. All pets must be on a leash. 5. Pet owners are required to dispose of all waste created by their pets. 6. Horses shall be allowed only within Kircher Park, subject to conditions imposed by the Board of Aldermen in connection with any such activity which may be granted. Horse trailers shall not be allowed in any City park. 7. The erection of any structure (tents, booths, posts, etc.) is prohibited unless special permission has been granted and a written permit is posted. 8. It shall be unlawful for any person to use or possess a beverage bottle or container made of glass, in whole or in part, within the City-owned and operated parks. Legible signs shall be posted at each entrance to such City parks, stating all glass beverage bottles or containers are prohibited within the park grounds and reciting that violators shall be subjected to penalties. 9. Bands, DJs, inflatables and amusement rides are prohibited unless prior approval has been granted. 10. Amplified sound that can be heard from a distance greater than fifty (50) feet is prohibited. 11. Roller blading, roller-skating, skateboarding, hockey, bicycling, the use of go-carts or scooters and any other activity which could deface or be destructive to the surface materials or any other component of recreational facilities are not permitted under the pavilions, on tennis courts, or near/on playground equipment. 12. Golfing is not allowed in any area of the parks. 13. Motor vehicles are prohibited from all grassy

areas and areas posted for pedestrian/bike use unless prior approval has been granted. 14. Pavilions are available for reservation. Any group using a pavilion without a permit must vacate the pavilion if a permitted group arrives. 15. No for-profit business or retail activity will be allowed unless prior approval has been permitted. 16. Registered 501(c)(3), not-for-profit charitable organizations are allowed to conduct fundraising events. All other groups requesting to conduct a fundraising event must receive prior approval from the Board of Aldermen and will be considered on a case by case basis. 17. A $40 reservation fee will apply to all resident not-for-profit organizations and individuals and a $65 reservation fee will apply to all non-resident not-for-profit organizations and individuals that reserve a pavilion. 18. Pavilions may be rented no more than four (4) weekend (Friday-Sunday) days per calendar year by any one organization or individual, unless approved by the Board of Aldermen. 19. Cancellation of the rental agreement must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the rental date; otherwise, the rental fee will be forfeited. 20. No dual rear wheeled vehicles shall be allowed within Berry Park. 21. Commercial vehicles are prohibited at all times from parking in West Frisco Park at 14 West Frisco Avenue. 22. No sports team games or practices are allowed in Berry Park. This may be conducted in other approved City parks as available. 23. Persons violating the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500) or imprisonment for a period not exceeding six (6) months or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Surf’s Up Dudes! Catch a wave to celebrate the opening of The Timbers pool for the 2019 season. Enjoy music, pool games and more! The first 150 people will receive a free hot dog lunch. Those without a pool pass or membership will pay the daily rate.

You are invited to a royal celebration at The Timbers castle. Meet Rapunzel and Cinderella, make a royal craft and enjoy a fun snack! This event is free to the public and includes admission to The Timbers pool.

Night Waves Pool Party

The Eureka Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with several area municipalities to throw a series of pool parties. This program is open to all incoming and current middle school students around St. Louis. Enjoy music, games and fun while hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones. All parties will be held from 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. 10

Everyone to The Timbers Batcave and join us for a super good time. Meet your favorite superheros, make a superhero craft and enjoy a fun snack! This event is free to the public and includes admission to The Timbers pool.

SPLASH WITH US! Dog Splash Pool Party Join us at The Timbers for a chance for your four-legged friend to enjoy the cool waters! Watch your pooch paddle and play in the water, receive a tasty dog treat and make some frisky new friends. For the safety of everyone, owners must show current proof of rabies, Bordetella and DHLPP vaccinations. Owners are required to clean up dog waste. Free hot dogs to the first 150 people. Limit 2 dogs per owner. Humans will not be permitted in the pool during this event.

Martial Arts Martial Arts lessons are instructed by Dien’s Martial Arts. Classes emphasize physical fitness, recreation and competition. The ranks for both Tae Kwon Do and Judo are: Beginner (white and yellow belts), Intermediate (orange and green belts) and Advanced (blue belts, 1st, 2nd and 3rd brown belts and all degrees of black belts). If you do not currently own a uniform, they are available for $35 for Tae Kwon Do and $50 for Judo from the instructor at the first class.

Kung Fu

Traditional Kung Fu lessons are instructed by Gary Freihaut who has studied Kung Fu for more than 35 years. Classes emphasize relaxed, balanced movement, redirection of force and blocks that also serve as strikes. The philosophy of Kung Fu is that the mind is the strongest weapon. Loose fitting, simple attire is recommended.

Group Exercise Classes

Let’s get fit! The Timbers of Eureka offers a variety of group exercise classes including indoor cycling, Zumba, boot camp, senior aerobics, yoga and much more. We have a great group of nationally certified fitness instructors from across the St. Louis area teaching a variety of classes at different times throughout the week. Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga (Hasya Yoga) is led by Jodi Hart, a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader. Grab some friends and a get a team together for our Summer Softball League! We have a Sunday evening coed league and Thursday evening Men’s league that consists of 6 weeks of double headers and 1 week of playoffs. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development, technical and tactical practices and daily tournament style plays, each child will also be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. Crafty Cooking Camp

Do you have a child that wants to learn more about cooking? Campers learn basic cooking skills including: reading a recipe, learning about measurements, preparation, safety, and they will have the opportunity to try new items. Camp includes lunch. Our staff has a fun filled morning of cooking and crafts prepared! Space is limited to 8 participants; these camps fill quickly, so sign up soon!

Come out to the third Season of the Eureka Farmers’ Market at The Spur (394 S. Central Ave.). Support local area farmers and producers as they showcase fresh produce, plants, herbs, honey, jams, jellies, pickles, salsas, pasture raised meat and more. The Market will be open the second Thursday of the months of May October from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m.

Ticket Consignment Program

The Eureka Parks and Recreation Department will be offering discounted tickets to Silver Dollar City and Six Flags St. Louis. Six Flags tickets will be available through October 8 and Silver Dollar City Tickets will be available through November 26. Please note, parking is not included with the purchase of tickets. For more information, stop by The Timbers of Eureka or call 636-938-6775. Tickets can be purchased at The Timbers front desk during regular business hours.

Concessions will be available for purchase starting at 8:00 p.m., but feel free to bring your own snacks (no glass bottles, please!). Movie nights have gone to the dogs! Bring your family and your pup to the Dog Park to enjoy watching A Dog’s Way Home. This is a free event, but if you are not a registered member of the dog park, you will need to bring proof of your dog’s rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP and spay/neuter records to attend the event. Central Avenue Block Parties

Embrace the community feel of Old Towne Eureka for a concert in the street! Bring your friends, neighbors and chairs! Food and beverages will be available for purchase from local businesses along Central Avenue. Glass bottles, coolers and animals (other than service animals) are not permitted. Parking on Central Avenue will be closed after 4:00 p.m. on the concert dates. Central Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 6:00 p.m. between Dreyer Avenue and West Frisco Avenue.
