Student Disciplinary Status Eureka College students are expected to adhere to all established rules of social conduct and good citizenship. Possible sanctions may include, but are not limited to: Letter of Warning: A notice in writing to the student or organization that there has been a policy violation. Loss of Privileges: Denial of specified privileges for a designated period of time. This could include removal from leadership positions on campus. Fines: Previously established and published fines may be imposed. Restitution: Compensation for loss, damage, or injury to individuals or property, taking the form of monetary or material compensation. Community Service Project: An individual or organization may be asked to participate in a community service initiative. Policy Clarification Session with SPS Staff: Meeting with one or more members of the SPS Staff in order to clarify policies and improvement/changes for future behavior. Educational Programming: Working with a member of the SPS Staff, Eureka City Police Department, or other designated professional in order to gain an educational experience in direct relation to the violation. Evaluation of Risk Management Practices: Working with a member of the SPS Staff or designee to become more educated and work to gain knowledge to improve current risk management processes. Re-­‐examination of an Organization’s Affiliation with the College: Working through a process to determine if it is beneficial for an organization to continue their affiliation with the College. Confidential Alcohol Assessment: Alcohol education/assessment of an individual’s habits in regards to alcohol and/or substance abuse. Counseling: Mandatory counseling sessions through John R. Day & Associates (or other approved organization). Parental Notification/Coach Notification: Requirement to notify parents and/or coaches and/or other pertinent contact. No Contact or No Trespass: The student is required to have no contact with another student, or faculty or staff member. With a no trespass restriction, a student may be limited to designated portions of the campus. Disciplinary Probation: The student may continue enrollment and/or residence on campus only under conditions established by the Judicial Board. One such condition might be partial or complete restriction from representing the College in any capacity. While a student is on Disciplinary Probation, any further infraction of regulations may result in suspension or dismissal. 46
