HALLETS POINT MIXED - USE

In an urban sense, verticality and diversity are my response to density and heterogeneity. In this urban housing, I focused on a topological variation which takes place on the ground level and exploring the relationship between landscape and buildings. In terms of the program, there are three different types of building categorized as high-rise apartments, town houses and a residence hotel. Each building has a different language that is based on its programatic and morphological consequences but also has an interactive connection which blends into the others.

BUFFALO SUPERMARKET

One of the overarching goals of our project was to re-activate the historically significant portion of the Erie Canal which cuts directly through the middle of our site location in lower downtown Buffalo, NY. The site and Canal provide flexible programing that contribute to various degrees of integration or separation among types of usage.

This project focused on form-finding through the hybridization of minimal surfaces to propose an alternative type of architecture.
