Born in 2016, Siziliessen GbR is a company founded by two young guys, Vincenzo Costanza and Pietro Nicotra, operating in food import, sales and distribution in Berlin, Germany. The brand Siziliessen is the combination of two german words: SIZILIEN and ESSEN. “Essen” because we are operating in food business; “Sizilien” because Sicily is the cornerstone of our concept. The mission of the company is to make people know about the goodness of Sicilian products and Vincenzo and Pietro are the main sponsors of top quality food exclusively “Made in Sicily”. Our philosophy is extremely simple, based just on the best crafted food products from the most beautiful island of the Mediterranean See. Behind every single product there is a lot of hard work: before choosing a product, we spend weeks , sometimes even months, researching the best craft made products; then we go to visit the producers to see how they works and checking personally everything we want to know. That’s because we want to guarantee the highest quality standards. Today, Siziliessen has been able to offer the best artisan products by creating a direct relation between producers and customers, and focusing on quality, responsibility and sustainability.


Born in 2003, Agrestis Soc. Coop. Agricola is a small familiar company which operates in the extra virgin olive oil production. Thanks to the old tradition about olives in Buccheri (Sicily), where the company is established, the main task of Agrestis is keeping alive the love for the extra virgin olive oil, one of the best product of the magic Sicilian lands. Today, the company has about 35 hectares with more than 12.000 olive trees, all in organic farming. Agrestis is extremely focused on the quality of their products, and the 120 national and international prizes in just 13 years of business testifies the goodness of their hard work. “Der Feinschmecker”, “Merum”, “Slow Food Presidium ”,”Gambero Rosso”, “New York Olive Oil Competition” , “Japan Olive Oil Prize” and “Sol d’Oro” in Verona are just few of the many awards won in the last years. Flavoured Extra Virgin Olive Oil

All the “Agrestis Flavoured Evoo” are produced with the best extra virgin olive oil and natural essences. STORAGE: the extra virgin olive oil is stored in stainless steel silos, under nitrogen and hermetically closed, to preserve the fresh taste of the products. BOTTLING: Before the bottling, the flavoured extra virgin olive oils are reshuffled slowly for about 2 hours, to make sure the products are homogeneous, and then bottled in dark glass bottles. DESCRIPTION: The Agrestis Wild fennel Pesto is a unique product, able to enrapture even the most sophisticated palates .It’s made from a selection of the best Wild Fennel that grows between Iblei Mountains , gathered in April, when the plants releases all of its flavors and odors. Wild Fennel Pesto

DESCRIPTION: “Agrestis Sicilian Capers and Almonds Pesto” is a typical expression of Sicilian land. The caper, able to grow between the rocks, releases its strong and intense flavour made balanced by the sweetness of the skinned almond. INGREDIENTS: Capers 50%, almonds20%, olive oil, garlic, wine vinegar.


Sicilian Caponata

DESCRIPTION: Agrestis Sicilian Sweet and Sour Caponata is made sublime by skillful combination of vegetables produced and grown between Iblei Mountains area. The game between sweet and sour, vinegar and honey, is perfectly balanced; mixed with vegetables, gives us a side from which is really hard to distract the attention at the table. INGREDIENTS: Aubergines, onion, peppers, courgettes, carrots, celery, almonds, extra virgin olive oil, cane sugar, orange blossom honey, wine vinegar.


Artichoke Cream

DESCRIPTION: The “Artichoke cream” is prepared with the softest and tastiest part of the artichoke, called “the heart”. The artichokes are cultivated in an ideal production area, under the beautiful sun of the Sicily. The heart of the artichokes are first boiled for few minutes, then chopped and mixed with other ingredients. INGREDIENTS: Artichokes 70%, extra virgin olive oil, salt, garlic, wine vinegar and natural herbs.

Truffle Cream

DESCRIPTION: The truffle cream is prepared using Summer black truffle “Scorzone” (tuber aestivum Vitt.) 30% or Winter white truffle“ Bianchetto” (Tuber Albitum Pico). The size of the truffles could be like a nut or like a big orange and when they reach their ripeness they become light brown. Their parfume is delicate and pleasant remembering the specific smell of nuts. Truffles grow both in the plains and in the hills as far as 1.300 metres above the sea level, in symbiosis with various other forest species and among these the most common are: oak-trees, pines, beeches and hazels. The period of ripeness spreads from June to November. In this cream the truffles preserve all their special taste and fragrance. DESCRIPTION: The black olives pate possesses the typical fragrance of black olives united to Agrestis extra virgin olive oil. The pulp gives to the pate an excellent and intense taste. Gree Olives Patè

DESCRIPTION: The green olives pate has the typical sweet smell of green olives combined with Agrestis extra virgin olive oil. DESCRIPTION: From the same Sicilian tomatoes used for “Agrestis Sun Dried Tomatoes”, are chopped and mixed with extra virgin olive oil as the original Sicilian tradition wants. It’s an explosion of the proper Mediterranean taste.

Sun Dried Tomatoes

DESCRIPTION: The typical Sicilian sun dried tomatoes are picked up from July till September and are manually selected to eliminate the defective ones. After that, are cut, salted and placed on suitable grills to dry under the sun. When they are dry enough, are aromatized with fresh herbs and kept in the jars with extra virgin olive oil. INGREDIENTS: Sun dried tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, capers garlic, natural herbs, salt.

Besides, Don Puglisi is the name of the pastry workshop as well. A welfare project to put the young moms welcomed there back into a working position.
