W E L C O M E TO T H E NEW eTRIDENT As midshipmen are finishing up exams and departing the yard for holiday leave and 2011 comes to a close, we’re looking ahead to what’s new. And what’s new around here is right in front of you. This is the first edition of the Naval Academy’s new online newspaper. With the start of the new year, the online Trident will be available each Friday at www.facebook.com/USNavalAcademy and www.usna.edu. Our intention is to enhance our coverage with the most up-to-date and relevant news, photos and videos of all the great things our midshipmen and sailors are developing, researching and producing here at the Naval Academy and in the fleet. With the new online version of the paper, we can greatly expand and improve your experience every week. So, happy holidays from all of us here at the Trident, and look out for our regular service starting Jan. 6. TO P S TO R I E S
