TC Press, a company with a cultural background of unparalleled awareness to detail, was founded with a mission to help educators, administrators, trainers, and interns, better implement Montessori materials so as to further enhance their curriculum. By the time the firm had moved to start publishing and producing their own materials, creating innovative, pedagogically sound Montessori curriculum for the upper elementary had become a matter of course. Today ETC’s creations can be found in schools throughout the United States. ETC’s portfolio continues to expand to other locations worldwide such as Toronto, Vancouver, Mexico City, Sydney, Brisbane, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Dubai, Johannesburg, and London. The awards are many, and as the company continues to grow, they employ some of the most sophisticated and talented artists, writers, consultants, and educators whose main goal is to “Combine visually stunning material with knowledge, to unleash the innate desire to learn, explore, and understand.” ETC is the first company to use actual pictures in their materials. They are also the first to offer correlational charts of their curriculum with National Content and teacher standards. Rest assured that when creating a complete curriculum or any piece of material for that matter, ETC considers every student’s needs with the utmost gravity. In the time they have been in existence, they have been creating curriculum with the unflappable aplomb that comes only from the assurance that they’re at the top of their game. ETC’s sophisticated clientele have always demanded innovation in matter and design, placing each of their creations among the avant-garde of its time. The educators who have been ETC’s patrons over the years are leaders, not only of their educational domains, but of the state of sophistication that so often sets them apart; innovators, not followers, whose patronage carries with it the demand to stay on the cutting edge.

ETC Press Inc.

ETC’s state of the art facilities, both in design, production, and fulfillment have allowed them to move forward meeting the classroom needs of the most discerning and demanding clients. These clients’ passion for quality and innovation, is deeply rooted in the Montessori tradition and pedagogy. ETC’s ability to bridge the past and future is perfectly incarnated in the purity of the materials, subtle elegance of design, and evocative visual poetry of the graphics. ETC’s vision in innovation is perhaps most literally on display in its use of the patented stayflat® material as a printing substrate. They are also the first to print on paper products that are recycled from certified sustainable production systems called PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council Certification). They are also the first to incorporate the use of eco-friendly inks and solvents based on soy in their production which emit very low traces of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). To really understand ETC’s legacy of devotion to the highest degree of talent and ability, one need only examine the usually unseen elements of the design, the tiny details that usually pass unnoticed, the way ideas and objectives are able to be incorporated across several subjects and curriculums. It’s only then that one realizes that ETC is looking not for superficial beauty or thoughts, but for a perfect marriage of design and the presentation of knowledge that can only come from its years of refining both. Their passion is not a part-time endeavor, whose sole purpose is saving educators time and effort. Their curriculum and materials are the result of meticulous research and the collaborative effort of many Montessori educators with a firm commitment to Montessori ideology and pedagogy. Creating beautiful materials and complete curriculum for the Montessori classroom is what they do. It is that commitment and their pursuit for innovation that have allowed them to truly set the standards by which so many other companies aim to achieve.
