Titans look for improved record in 2012-13 season Hough takes over as head coach BY DAVID SWARTZ MANAGING EDITOR

year ago after winning three of its first four. However the Titans are also under new management as Todd Hough takes the reins of the team. Hough is a former Graettinger standout and boys assistant coach. Senior guard Brooke Hoffman, who lead the team in scoring at 8.1 points per game last season, has

upped her averaged to 12.0 points through the first 12 games. She is a long-range threat, shooting 10-for35 (28.6 percent) from 3-point range. Sophomore Lauren Flaharty, who averaged 4.4 points last season, also has increased her average with 7.4 points per contest. Following the trend, junior Grace

Skattebo is up to 6.4 points per game after averaging 4.0 per contest last season. Meanwhile junior Marley Bakken is averaging 5.0 points per contest and leading the team in rebounds with 46. Cassy Hampson is the lone senior on the squad, but is a starter as is junior Emily Moran.

Juniors Alex Oleson, Kate Olesen Paige Hoffman, sophomore Jayden Johnson and freshman Claire Sparks round out the varsity roster. In the early going, it appears Clay Central-Everly, Harris-Lake Park and North Union will battle for the top spot in the Cornbelt Conference, but the Titans and West BendMallard aren’t far behind.
