Fleabag Screenings After the hugely successful second series was broadcast earlier this year, it’s no surprise when it was announced there would be a live screening from London of the original theatrical version of Fleabag, tickets soon sold out in cinemas across the country thanks to the show’s dark humour and critically acclaimed performance from Phoebe Waller-Bridge. If you’re still looking to buy your tickets however I’ve put together this comprehensive list of all the local cinemas where at the time of writing, there are still some tickets available (however sexy priests played by Andrew Scott are not guaranteed):

Cresset Comedy The Cresset recently launched their brochure for the rest of 2019 which not only boasts an impressive line-up of music and theatre, but there’s also some great comedy gigs coming up where tickets are still available. Firstly on Tuesday October 29 multi-award winning comedian Russell Kane will be performing his brand new show The Fast and the Curious. Packing more energy than a Duracell factory, the show has already received great reviews and has been described as a comedy whirlwind by The Guardian. Then on Friday November 22, Ben Elton will be returning to live comedy after a 15 year absence, with his new show promising to try and make sense of a world which appears to have gone stark raving mad. Finally on Wednesday November 27, viral satirist and exasperated news reporter Jonathan Pie will be performing his ‘Fake News’ tour to further berate the people in power for an evening of no-holds-barred political comedy. For more information and to book tickets for any of these shows, call the Cresset’s box office on 01733 265705, or visit their website at www.cresset.co.uk.

City Comic @ The Tap Local stand-up comedian Lewis Harlock will be performing his new show, Is This It? this month after a sell-out performance at the Greater Manchester Fringe. Performing on Wednesday September 25 at the Brewery Tap, expect a show about life, love and hope in front of a hometown crowd, which may be awkward given his promise of including embarrassing anecdotes and having his parents in the audience! Lewis told me – “People can expect an hour of stand up about me trying to live the most authentic experience I can, whilst struggling through embarrassing moments on a near daily basis. I think this show is the best material I've written in my life and I can't wait to perform for a hometown audience.” Tickets are available on Eventbrite or will be £6 each on the door.
