NIGHTS OUT FOR MACMILLAN If you’d like a night out and would also like to help Macmillan Cancer Support there are a couple of nights coming up next month in Yaxley. First off is a Sixties Night with dancing to Rusty on Friday March 1 from 7pm at Yaxley British Legion. Tickets are £15 including a buffet supper. Then at the same venue on Friday March 29 also from 7pm there’s a Race Night. Tickets for this one are £10 including a buffet supper. Both events are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. NEW MARATHON COMING TO THE CITY An exciting new Marathon is to be staged in Peterborough this year. Sublime Racing will be bringing the Peterborough Marathon to the city on Sunday April 14. It’s 26.2 miles will be run on a 95% traffic-free beautiful course, starting and finishing within yards of the fantastic Race HQ and event venue, the Marriott Hotel. Initially the race aims to attract runners who would like the chance to try a new race that’s both scenic and relatively flat, so providing the opportunity for a Personal Best over the distance.
