OUR SERVICES
ESO Surveyors can provide complete survey management and resourcing of your project or supplement your existing surveying resources.

Road Construction
Initial data capture to assist design through to final as-built reports and everything in between, ESO Surveyors is an industry leader and has been involved in many iconic road projects. Using the 12D Field/12D Model system with remote model synching ensures maximum production from our field crews.
Bridge Construction
Incrementally launched or pre-cast concrete/steel construction, ESO Surveyors understands the dual necessities of high accuracy survey with quality control of the modelling process. We have a number of bridge specialists within our staff.
Rail Construction
High pressure short-term urban rail shutdowns or kilometres of regional rail construction, ESO Surveyors has completed all types of projects. We can deliver corridor scanning and kinetic envelope analysis as well as enhanced construction survey with our Amberg GRP100 Rail Trolley systems.
Building Construction
ESO Surveyors has successfully completed residential and commercial buildings, high-rise and low-rise, stadiums, entertainment venues, defence projects and more. Where we are not working on site full-time our State Mangers are experienced in organising consistent survey teams to service your site when you need it. We also provide Registered/Licensed Surveyor services for titling, easements, work-as-executed and boundary marking.
Reality Capture
ESO Surveyors provides Reality Capture as an additional service to the construction projects or directly to designers. Based on specific needs of the client, Reality Capture data can be delivered in various 3D formats. This data serves as a crucial foundation for design development and enables comparisons with other data sets for comprehensive analysis.
UAV/Drone
UAV data can be used to accurately create digital terrain models, provide volumes for end-of-month, and to obtain high-resolution imagery. ESO Surveyors has trained remote pilots in each state.
Control Networks
ESO Surveyors has successfully delivered many large survey Control Networks associated with road and rail construction projects to local authority specifications. We have utilised both GNSS and traditional measurement techniques with data adjusted in StarNet software.

SIGNATURE SA PROJECT EXPERIENCE
ROAD/BRIDGE – Fleurieu Connections Stage 1 & 2 - CPB Contractors
Construction Value: $560mill
Completion Date: Ongoing (Estimated 2026)
ESO is currently supporting the delivery of the South Australian Road Network Upgrade Program, a transformative infrastructure initiative aimed at improving safety, reducing congestion, and enhancing connectivity across metropolitan and regional SA. This program includes upgrades to key corridors such as Main North Road, Fullarton Road, and the North-South Corridor.
ESO’s involvement spans the full scope of surveying services. We have deployed a team of experienced construction surveyors, provided off-site Survey Data Management, and managed complex Control Networks using least squares adjustment.
In addition, ESO has delivered bridge and road structure surveys, supplied 24/7 resourcing for traffic-sensitive occupations, and conducted Laser Scanningof major intersections.
ROAD/BRIDGE - Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Upgrade
- T2D CJV (John Holland PL, Bouygues Construction Australia PL)
Construction Value: $15.4bill
ESO is currently engaged by the T2D Alliance to provide comprehensive surveying support for the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Upgrade—South Australia’s largest road infrastructure project and a key component of the North-South Corridor.
Our team of experienced construction surveyors is deployed across multiple zones, delivering services that include the establishment and maintenance of complex Control Networks using least squares adjustment and Laser Scanningof urban environments.
ESO also provides 24/7 survey resourcing for traffic-sensitive occupations, conducts detailed surveys for bridge and road structures, and manages off-site Survey Data Management to ensure seamless coordination between design and construction teams.

RAIL/ROAD – Ovingham Level Crossing Removal –
McConnell Dowell
Construction Value: $231mill
Completion Date: February 2023
ESO was engaged by McConnell Dowell to provide surveying services for the Ovingham Level Crossing Removal Project, a major infrastructure upgrade that replaced the congested Torrens Road rail crossing with a new overpass, improving safety and travel times for over 21,000 daily commuters.
ESO’s team supported the construction of the 178-metre-long, four-span steel box girder bridge, delivering survey control, bridge structure set-out, and conformance surveys. We also conducted Monitoring and Laser Scanning across the site to ensure precision in a complex urban environment.
Our surveyors worked closely with McConnell Dowell to manage traffic-sensitive occupations, coordinate with utility providers, and support the integration of Indigenous artwork and public space enhancements throughout the precinct.
ROAD/BRIDGE – Regency Road to Pym Street – Mc-
Connell Dowell (R2P Alliance)
Construction Value: $354mill
Completion Date: January 2022
ESO supported the South Road Upgrade – Regency to Pym Street, a key section of Adelaide’s North-South Corridor that delivered a 1.8-kilometre non-stop motorway with three lanes in each direction and a grade-separated pedestrian and cycle overpass.
Our team provided full surveying services throughout the project, including up to six dedicated survey teams. ESO’s scope included earthworks, survey control, concrete structures, drainage, services, and asphalt works. We also implemented and maintained augmented reality systems to assist client-side coordination and visualisation.
ESO’s involvement was critical in ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all phases of construction, contributing to the successful delivery of this high-impact infrastructure upgrade.
