REPORT OF GIVING
CELEBRATING OUR SECOND YEAR
2017-2018
Celebrating the 2017-2018 School Year A LETTER FROM HEAD OF SCHOOL Dear Friends of Episcopal School of Nashville, Within these colorful pages are the names of well over two hundred Episcopal School of Nashville supporters, all of whom are pouring their time and treasure into the founding of the nation’s newest Episcopal school. Last year, our second in operation, we saw tremendous growth at Episcopal School. The school welcomed thirty-six students from all over the greater Nashville region, more than doubling the size of its enrollment, and opened a new Third Grade class. While schools can change dramatically from year-to-year, during the founding era certain aspects of the daily life and program begin to embody a school culture. Despite the enrollment growth and increased programming, like service learning, the school was able to build on the foundation set in its first year. As I write this letter to you we are approaching 2019. Fifty-two students are currently thriving in a new six-classroom Lower School building and the faculty continues to grow. It is through the talents of our exceptional teachers, faculty, trustees, supporters, and volunteers that each day we get a little stronger, our Episcopal School culture a bit more refined, and the impact we are making on our city all the greater. So thank you. I am grateful to each and every one of you. Know that I am eager to welcome you to our campus for a daily chapel service or perhaps a simple tour. Come and experience the difference that you are making in our community and the lives of the children we serve. We are growing and it is a blessing to be on this journey with you. See you soon. With great gratitude,
Harrison Stuart, Head of School
“From the word ‘go,’ from our standpoint it truly was a model of how to go about starting a school. This startup committee saw a need in East Nashville and saw an opportunity, and they went to work, and it’s really remarkable how quickly this has come along and how successfully.” - The Rev. Daniel Heischman
our MISSION The Episcopal School of Nashville, a diverse urban independent school, is dedicated to nurturing the joy of learning and the spirit of discovery in each of its students.
Doubling the School Campaign, 2017-2018 WITH GRATEFUL THANKS TO THOSE WHO SUPPORTED THE SCHOOL BETWEEN JULY 1, 2017 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2018
