Convention Centre, Prague (actual view from the Convention Centre) Situated amongst the hills and offering panoramic views of the Prague skyline and Vltava River, the Prague Congress Centre opened in 1980 as one of the largest convention facilities in Europe. Following a renovation in 2000, the facility also now ranks as one of the best-equipped and most modern venues in Europe. Not surprisingly, Prague Congress Centre has been host to such prestigious events as the September 2000 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group and NATO summit in 2002. The main Congress Hall can host large conferences and events of up to 2,764 people, while the equally sizable Forum Hall can host up to 1,034 people. An additional 18 air-conditioned halls are suited for groups ranging in size from 80 to 700 people. Prague Congress Centre's state-of-the-art exhibition space boasts 13,000 square meters of room for trade shows and fairs, while seminars and presentations are at home in one of its 50 versatile meeting rooms.

Industrial Palace Karlovy Vary A construction in secession style from 1891 based on a project of architect B. Munzberger and engineer PrĂĄĹĄil is an outstanding art and technical monument. The palace is a central dominating feature of the whole Exhibition ground and at the same time it is the biggest construction in the area. Its length is 238 m and its central tower is 51 m high. The building is made of glass and iron construction.

Zofin Palace

Žofín Palace has been a leading centre of cultural and social life in Prague since 1837, some events have been concerts by some of the world’s greatest stars; assemblies of statesmen and diplomats; international congresses and conferences; presentations given by leading companies; conferences of industrialists, bankers and traders; prestigious balls and many other events.

Municipal House

Municipal House is the premier Art Nouveau building in Prague. It is a magnificent complex serving many functions, with at its heart one of the largest concert halls in the city, the Smetana. Among other attractions Municipal House boasts an elegant French restaurant, a Czech beer hall style restaurant, several salons and the American Bar. Municipal House was built in 1911 on the site of the former Royal Court Palace. It then gained fame on the 28th October 1918 when the historic proclamation of the independent state of Czechoslovakia took place here.

Karlovy Vary Karlovy Vary

Karlovy Vary was established in the Middle Ages after the discovery of hot mineral springs. It is a clean, elegant spa town with gracious colonnades and picturesque boulevards, surrounded by forest. The invigorating waters are used to treat all kinds of health disorders and for general well-being. Past visitors include the Russian tsar Peter the Great and poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Both praised the healing effects of the mineral springs.
