What is Generation Y ?
Born in the early- 1980’s to mid- 90’s, Generation Y (18-29) comprises of young professionals just entering the workforce or in middle level positions within their careers. With numbers over 70 million, Generation Y (also known as the Millennial Generation) is the fastest growing segment of today’s workforce. With a high interest in technology, fashion and consumer goods, understanding Generation Y and Z trends is essential for organisations to best tailor their services and products to a constantly changing consumer market. In comparison between Generation Y and its predecessor Generation X; consumers belonging to the latter are seen to be time poor and money rich, whereas those of Generation Y are the complete opposite. This means Generation Y consumers are more likely to price compare and ensure they get value for money.
With today’s technological advancements, brands with a great marketing strategy can now promote product/s or service/s and gain worldwide interest within hours. This is a trend that is set to continue as Generation Y consumers continue to become more consumer opinionated, whilst sharing their new findings (Consumer viral spread). This new form of promotion for companies cannot be underestimated as consumer viral spread has proven to boost profit sales and brand reputation.

We worked with their PR team to produce an engaging promo video to promote the unique working culture at their London HQ.
Exposure PR Approached to visual produce content for their Nike Air Max campaigns, our creative team created a 360 product review video.
The app’s features include a QR code function, which will support the magazine content. The Pandafy function uses our company mascot (so|fraiche! Panda) to customise photos. The last feature is a product review option, which allows you to rate a product or place: so|fraiche! or not with social media integration throughout the App.

Cyril Ofori Nelson Co-founder & Managing Director Originally setting up so|fraiche! in the summer of 2011 (after meeting co-founder Gerald Sagoe via a social media platform), we aimed to create a creative platform, showcasing innovation and creativity. This involved us interviewing amazing entrepreneurs from around the World. In such a short time we have evolved into what is now our media agency; producing our very own merchandising, art, social media app and specialised industry events. It has been a beautiful hustle, with many highs and few lows. Our team has constantly grown and our scope has widened as more opportunities havecome our w ay. Working with giants such as Nike, UK Telefonica 02, ASOS, Virgin, Exposure PR, Digital Dumbo NYC, has allowed us to both establish ourselves and garner much respect amongst our peers within our industry. Our company goals are simple: "Build, promote, grow" Our recent move to create the following brand divisions (as seen throughout magazine); so|fraiche! Entrepreneur+ (Economy, Business), so|fraiche! Street Look (Fashion, lifestyle) and so|fraiche! Create+ (Culture, art and design), has helped us to cement our ethos, allowing our growing audience and prospective clientele to have a better understanding of our brand. We have always seen so|fraiche! as a global brand, given our biggest following being the USA from the onset. Employing freelancers has given us the option to source the best talent globally, resulting in us having one of the largest rosters of creative professionals, growing larger by the day. This is just the beginning and I hope you will be a part of our continued success and growth.

Gerald Sagoe Co-founder & Creative Director Since imagining the name so|fraiche!, my purpose has always been to encapsulate the brands ideals. Something that instantly said ‘innovation,’ unique and incomparable to any other brand. My background in film and art and overall grasp of the modern digital landscape means that as Creative Director, I am able to propel the company as one which is always ahead of its time and which is always exciting and aesthetically identifiable. My imagination can dip from conscious thought to daydreaming, but is developed and challenged through constant experimentation and exploration. I am inspired by many things; from visual beauty, music and lyrics, stories, originality, some of the great people and thinkers I come across and at times the most random moments I face in life, which sparks new ideas. The overall goal remains that so|fraiche! stays innovative, fresh and as always timeless. An idea changes everything. When it comes at the right time, when people get it, when people believe in it and when all its opportunities are realised. Although we have been up and running for some time now, this is still really the first step in realising our vision, getting it up and running and letting people discover us; an organic process that results in endless possibilities and in reading this it now means you are part of this adventure in some way. This is a challenging journey, but I’m more passionate than ever and I’m sure some of the incredible creative individuals and entrepreneurs I have met would agree. No one said creating the future would be easy.
