Our Retreat Team Fr. David Cinquegrani, C.P., is the Retreat Director at Holy Family. He holds both Master of Divinity and Master of Liturgical Theology degrees from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, as well as a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music from Marywood University in Scranton, PA. Fr. David entered the Passionist Community in 1989 and has been a chaplain and music educator on the college level for 30 years.

Dr. Brandon Nappi is Holy Family’s Associate Retreat Director. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he majored in Theology and Medieval Studies. Brandon’s work has included prison ministry, adult education, teaching meditation and mindfulness, and music ministry. He completed a Master of Divinity degree from Yale University and holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.

Bill Walsh joined Holy Family full-time as Associate Retreat Director in 2013 after many years of service in retreat ministry. Bill began working at Holy Family in 1991 as the first lay member of the retreat team and remained for seven seasons. Bill then worked as a teacher at St. Mary’s School in Simsbury for eight years and coordinated the Safe Environment Program for the Passionists’ Eastern Province.

Sr. Elaine Betoncourt, C.S.J., is a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph. Her educational background includes degrees in Theology and Latin, and courses in spiritual direction. A teacher for many years, Sr. Elaine also served as pastoral associate in four CT parishes and in Appalachia. Within her community she was director of vocations and novices and a member of the provincial leadership team. Near and dear to her heart is working for the care of the earth and the poor of our world.

Liza Peters, has been the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry at Holy Family since 2011. Prior to joining the retreat team, she spent four years as the Director of Religious Education in Dayton, Ohio. Liza also lived in community and worked at the St. Peter Claver Catholic Worker House in South Bend, IN. She has a B.A. in Psychology and a Master of Divinity from the University of Notre Dame. She lives in West Hartford with her husband, Ben and four children.

Passionists Assisting on Retreats Holy Family is blessed by the presence of a dynamic community of Passionist priests and brothers who support retreatants and make this ministry possible.
