Robbie Morrish

Taking over the reigns as our Texas Polled Hereford Association manager in 2010, and consistently working hard to improve our breed organization, stepping up and taking care of important breed related matters during a time of hesitation and standstill, Robbie Morrish dedicated nine years to the Texas Polled Hereford Association. Robbie and wife Sherri started in the Polled Hereford breed in 1993, after purchasing 30 cows and 2 bulls from a family member. Since then, Robbie’s family, which grew by their son Dylan, has become active members within different organizations of the Texas Polled Hereford Association. As a dedicated and hardworking manager, Robbie chaired and managed over 35 Hereford sales across the state of Texas. He continuously worked to grow TPHA advertising sponsorships and increased social media presence to connect with a diverse group of Polled Hereford enthusiasts. While continuously working to increase membership, Robbie ensured deserving junior members had the opportunity to be awarded scholarships which were selected at the Texas Junior Polled Hereford State Show and during the Open Polled Hereford show held at Fort Worth. We are thankful for Robbie and his guidance throughout his nine years. We hope to continue our friendship and grow our like passion for the Polled Hereford breed in the many days to come. Robbie, we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Thank you for your help!

2019 - 2020 Queen We are proud to announce Jordan Huff as our 2018-2019 Texas Polled Hereford Queen. Jordan, from Rockwall, Texas, is the 16 year old daughter of Eric and Arlee Huff, and older sister to Megan and Hannah. Jordan, a third generation Polled Hereford breeder, said she fell in love with Polled Hereford cattle when her uncle, Dennis Schock, dispersed his ranch and Jordan’s family purchased four bred heifers. Quickly afterwards her family and grandfather began raising their own herd of Polled Herefords. Jordan credits her county extension agent, Todd Williams, as the adult leader who helped her begin showing Polled Herefords. Being the son of a Hereford breeder, Todd was excited to see a new young Hereford showman. Now, Todd and Jordan’s ag teachers have her showing heifers and steers across the state. Being involved in extracurricular activities since she was in elementary school gave Jordan a solid base to become a leader in her organizations. She has served as the Rockwall County 4-H Beef Club vice-president and parliamentarian, Rockwall FFA treasurer and sentinel, and has competed in leadership development events - chapter conducting, creed speaking, and quiz; and career development events - meat judging and livestock judging. Most recently, Jordan served as a 2017-2018 TPHA Sweetheart. After being crowned as the Texas Polled Hereford Queen at the Texas Hereford State Junior Show in June, Jordan traveled to the Junior National Hereford Expo in Grand Island, Nebraska, to represent Texas Polled Hereford breeders. She said, “I enjoyed meeting the other queens and fellow people from across the country that share the same passion I do.” “I can’t wait to represent the Texas Polled Hereford breeders at the major shows throughout Texas and in Kansas City where I will run for National Queen in October,” Jordan said. “I hope to inspire young girls to be strong, confident leaders.”
