Electronic Daylight Control

Control daylight by a single push of a button. Orshade features the most innovative and reliable line of electronically operated, motorized blind systems. With over 70,000 motorized blind systems installed in hundreds of projects worldwide, Orshade's systems are the best tested shading solution in the market. The motorized blind systems are available with a 27 mm spacer and a 29 mm spacer. Each blind is operated by a 24 V DC encoder motor, designed by Orshade Electronics specifically for blind operation. The motor communicates with one of Orshade Electronic's motor controller units, the

MCU 9201 (single channel) or the MCU 9206 (6 channels). To allow a smart and simple operation, Orshade designed an elegant line of command gadgets – IR or RF remote controls. Orshade also offers protocol gateways (EIB/KNX) for home-automation systems. All components are designed in-house for optimal compatibility, under Orshade's meticulous quality assurance procedures. Having all components made by us enables us to customize tailor-made solutions for each and every project and provide a quick and accurate customer support.

VBE SERIES Orshade’s VBE series features a line of motorized shading solutions fitted for assembly inside insulating glass units. They are suitable for installation on façade systems, windows, sliding doors and any other form of architectural glazing. Having 25 years of experience in the glass fabrication business, Orshade has been able to perfect the VBE products with the specific needs of architects, glaziers and tenants in mind.

Meticulous quality assurance All kinetic, electric and electronic components are manufactured locally by Orshade’s carefully selected network of suppliers, and are tailor-made according to its demands. All quality assurance procedures are set by Orshade’s technical personnel and inspected by them. All of Orshade’s blind and curtain materials are produced by Hunter-Douglas, the largest manufacturer of shading materials globally. Orshade’s motors are German-made, produced according to specifications set by Orshade’s engineering team. Drums, shafts, gear systems and plastic components are designed by Orshade and made in Israel under its inspection.

ORSHADE Electronics

Orshade Electronics, established in 2004, is Orshade's R&D subsidiary, specializing in electronic engineering of motorized, electronic and automated daylight control systems. Orshade Electronics’ solutions range from the most simple, single unit operation to the synchronized operation of tens of units of different sizes. The company operates from Denmark and collaborates with high end subcontractors and design companies in order to bring the end user the finest command devices and remote controls. Orshade Electronics offers advice on customizing tailor made solutions to each

Our technical personnel join hands with the project planners from the initial stages of planning until the end user enters the home or office environment. The DM9035 The DM9035 motor is a small but powerful 24W DC motor with an integrated encoder, dual planetary gearheads and dual shaft output with low noise operation, designed for the operation of venetian blinds. The motor itself is a high performance, German made B端hler motor, tested for over 100.000 full cycle operations of the blinds (approx. 91 years of normal operation). It is designed for high accuracy positioning and is rated for high temperature operation. DM9035 is designed to operate venetian blinds up to 4 sqm., but can be used for any appliance within the specifications of the motor.

Smart Daylight Controllers The latest generation of our most popular MCU series, the 9201/9206 Venetian blind motor controller, introduces a range of new features, such as function programming available directly from the pushbuttons, Down on Boot, Soft-Stop with reverse and many others. The advanced auto-adjust routine adjusts the power and positioning system individually for each blind, for maximum lifetime and performance, and minimum wear of the blind system. On the hardware side, the 9201 and 9206 are designed with low-voltage technology and consume as little as 0.5 watt. The dry-contact inputs can be configured to act as master of blinds groups on the databus. The new active encoder system ensures perfect synchronization between blinds, despite of different sizes, and also features fast acting electronic short circuit protection. The MCU-9201 is designed for mounting on 35MM DIN Rail in the width of one module (105mm).

Operation devices Home Automation Interfaces With home-automation and smart grid systems becoming increasingly more popular, Orshade has come up with the KNX9190 EIB/KNX gateway. The gateway enables communication between the MCU 9201 and MCU 9206 controllers and the home-automation interface. Having an independent R&D division enables Orshade to customize tailor-made solutions for other communication protocols as well, such as RS232 or Lutron, upon demand.

IR remote control The IR remote control is a smart and simple solution for large spaces containing a large number of blind units. The remote control is available in 2 programming versions â&#x20AC;&#x201C; 4 scenario remote control (4 single blind units or 4 groups of windows operated individually), or 31 scenario remote control (31 single blind units or 31 groups of windows operated individually).

RF remote control The new Orshade electronics RF remote operation system is an advanced solution specially designed for residential houses with many spaces. The remote control transmits a radio signal to the receiver, which sends a corresponding signal to the blind unit. Unlike the IR remote control, the RF remote doesn't have to be pointed directly at the receiver and can be used to operate window units from different rooms in the house.

Manual Daylight Control for public projects

Orshade offers an elegant, maintenance free and extra durable solution developed to meet the special demands of hospitals, office buildings and other types of public buildings.

Durable Orshade’s manual operating mechanism is encapsulated inside the insulating glass unit, making it extra resistant to wear & tear caused by random misuse or vandalism.

Clean Orshade’s manual blind systems are operated by an elegant and minimalistic magnetic handle. Unlike other more bulky systems, which accumulate dust and germs, Orshade’s magnetic

handle is extra sterile. The handle can also be removed, cleaned and replaced.

Simple Orshade’s solutions feature smart and simple daylight control systems. The magnetic handle tilts and lifts blinds of over 4 M² by a simple single motion. The unit’s installation is also simple and is similar to that of a regular window. The systems are available in several variants: Tilt only – magnetic handle placed on the top/ bottom/left/right rail. • Tilt & lift – two handles placed on the left and right rails. • Slat width – 12.5 mm/16 mm • Air cavity – 18 mm/25 mm •

The Duette is a smart, elegant and innovative solution for spaces that require complete darkening, such as bedrooms. It is a double layered pleated curtain made of high quality fabric manufactured in the U.S.A. by Hunter Douglas. The strings that lift the Duette run between the two layers of fabric giving the curtain a clean and continuous appearance without any trace of perforation or strings. Now, for the first time, Orshade presents a brand new type of thinking with the "Bottom-up Duette".
