The brief

Introduction

To engage in the design of ecologies of interaction; to design an interactive component that can fit into a moving loop structure that will travel around Europe. To design something that will encourage people to go beyond verbal interaction. To design and to fabricate a 1:1 architectural prototype. To conceptualize, design and fabricate components by applying parametric design.

This brochure is the culmination of several weeks of intense work and concludes the Msc 2. It contains not only the resulting products, but also the research that has led to these products. Hopefully it gives an accurate and enlightening account of the process and growth of the project. This project would not have been possible without our tutors Nimish Biloria, Gary Chang, Pablo Baquero Triana and Effimia Giannopoulou. Also we would like to thank the team of Metabody, for enabling us to challenge ourselves. But most of all our thanks goes out to Marjan Kooroshnia and Delia Dumitrescu of The Swedish School of Textiles University of Borüs, Sweden, for their incredible contribution and endless enthousiasm. – Bob Heester, Marien Teeuw, Dimitra Dritsa and Esther Slagter
