March Madness Betting: First Four Picks March Madness betting players online have been preparing for the much awaited NCAA tournament and the Big Dance finally kicks off on Tuesday with the First Four, a group of play-in games which will finish out your bracket. Now, we’re here to get you off to a good start with our picks. UNC Asheville AR Little Rock Betting (Tuesday, 6:30PM ET) The Bulldogs prove to be the 4-point favorites over the Trojans in this battle for the 16th seed in the Southeast and the winner will play top-seeded Pittsburgh in Washington D.C. on Thursday. UNC Asheville has been beating it by winning six in a row, taking the Big South along the way. While on the other hand, Little Rock swept through the Sun Belt. UNC Asheville is very well-known to push the pace of the game and this is what Little Rock has to be careful about as they won’t be able to keep up with the Bulldogs on the offensive end of the floor. Edge: UNC Asheville -4 UAB Clemson Betting (Tuesday, 9PM ET) The ACC’s Tigers are 5-point favorites over the Blazers in the Conference USA and the winner of this game gets the No.12 seed in the East region where they will meet West
Virginia at Tampa. The Blazers are one of the most controversial picks to get into the NCAA Tournament after losing to East Carolina in the quarterfinals of the C-USA tourney and they’re going to be facing a Clemson team who has lost two of their last six games. Those losses were on the road at Duke and a five-point overtime loss against North Carolina. The Blazers must find a way to slow down Clemson guard Demontez Stitt, but we think the Tigers will be too much to handle as they feel they should be in the Tournament automatically. Edge: Clemson -5 UTSA Alabama State Betting (Wednesday, 6:30 PM ET) Meanwhile, UTSA is a 4.5-point favorite against the Hornets, who have won 11 of their last 12 and their last was by a single point as they took the SWAC tournament. The Roadrunners have won five games in a row in the Southland and UTSA will lean heavily on star guard Devin Gibson, who has the offensive strength to put up points. The Hornets have gotten the pace of their offense to pick up so far in the postseason, but they’re generally a team that will definitely beat you with defense. If Tramayne Moorer doesn’t make points, the Hornets may have trouble filling the offensive gap. However, we’re going with the upset here with Alabama State because UTSA can go cold shooting the basketball and the Hornet’s defense will hound them into a poor night from
the floor. Take the Hornets to go on and get routed by top-seeded Ohio State in the East. Edge: Alabama State +4.5 USC VCU Betting (Wednesday, 9:00 PM ET) This may be one of the best of all play-in games and the Rams are 4.5-point underdogs after a loss in the Colonial tournament that sent them limping into this game. The Trojans lost against Arizona in the Pac-10 tourney, but USC has won six of their last eight heading into the Tournament and Nikola Vucevic has the potential to dominate this game with eight double-doubles in his last night games. The Rams have to find a way to contain Vucevic and VCU’s Jamie Skeen is going to have his hands full. The Rams are another team that many felt didn’t deserve to be in the Tournament, and that will provide added motivation. But the Trojans didn’t have Coach Kevin O’Neil for the Arizona game due to a suspension and USC will play with a chip on their shoulder on Wednesday. That will be enough to power them to aMarch Madness betting victory! Edge: USC-4.5
