The Nasirat Page Prayers from the Holy Qur’an - Being steadfast and patient

‫َرب نََّ َاََبببِبَ ع َ يَر ع‬ ﴾٧٢١﴿‫ًَََيبِيب َ َبب‬ ‫بوبنب َاََبب يِ ع‬ َ ََ ‫بََ ًََ ع َ َاََبب َ َ عَََّرببب َوب‬ َ ‫بنبب‬ “Our Lord, pour forth upon us steadfastness and cause us to die resigned unto thee 7:127

HADITH “Truth saves, falsehood destroys”

Pharaoh was extremely arrogant and refused to believe in the God of Moses (as). Moses (as) told Pharaoh that he came bearing clear signs, so Pharaoh asked him to produce these signs. The first sign was the sign of the rod: Moses (as) threw down his rod and it appeared like a moving serpent. The second sign was the sign of the white hand: Moses (as) put his hand into his ‘bosom’, and when he took it out, his hand was white. Even after this, Pharaoh and his people refused to believe; they summoned all the most skilful magicians in the land to challenge Moses (as). When they were all assembled, they said, “O Moses, either throw them first or we shall be the first throwers. Moses replied, “Throw ye.” (7:116 – 117) When Moses (as) threw his rod among the rods of the magicians, their tricks were exposed. The magicians were humiliated and fell down prostrate and said, “We believe in the Lord of the worlds”. When Pharaoh saw that they had accepted the God of Moses (as), he was outraged and threatened that he would have their hands and feet cut off, and have them crucified. But the magicians remained firm and prayed to God for help that, despite the danger to their lives, they may stay steadfast and die with full faith of God in their hearts. These are the signs of a true believer; even when he is faced by many trials and tribulations, he bears them with patience and remains steadfast. Page content from: http://nasirat.org.uk

(Jami Al-Tirmidhi}

This Hadith is telling us the importance of always telling the truth, as it says “truth saves”. Even if you do something wrong it is better to tell the truth because one little lie leads to bigger and bigger lies. Nobody will believe anything you say and you will start to do things that are wrong, thinking that by telling lies you might be able to get away with your actions. In the end telling lies will ‘destroy’ you. CURRENT TARGETS April/June 2014: 

Annual syllabus test

Study of the Holy Qur’an
