Writing and Creative RESUME Allan Shore 707-297-6452 / AllanShore@msn.com http://www.VentureCharities.biz Fate has a way of turning good intentions into great possibilities. For many years I’ve worked as a writer, consultant and nonprofit administrator for agencies and businesses dedicated to what is currently deemed socially responsible innovation. Now I’m seeking ways to use my skills to ensure that this teeter-totter of bottom line possibilities fairly balances the values of profits and social justice for change. I write as much as I can about and in favor of innovation, progress and creativity. In many instances, this is a new field that often relies upon experts (such as programmers, social media wizards, gamers) to be all things as they develop businesses or products. I help them use words and add flavor to their work in order to make them effective and smart business agents. Here is an amuse-bouche of my work and my talents: New / Multi-Media Business Initiatives  Divorcing Obama: A Progressive Manual for Overcoming Irreconcilable Differences. Conceived, researched, written and posted for sale in print and digital format in three weeks, this project came about in consideration of our need to react immediately to a series misstep by the First Family. Their good intentions seek to sympathetically help military families in need, but in doing so in the manner they have choose (by ordering top-down change), they are actually undercutting better community empowerment strategies. Our book (co-developed with Erick Martinez, who is working on Spanish translations) seeks to demonstrate precisely how the First Family could be more effective by staying true to their vows of change we can all count on.  GREEN GOLD: Honey & Cheese Pairing. Authored original book on this topic to demonstrate community empowerment potential of linking natural, farmstead food making and gourmet food sales sectors. Currently serving as writer, founder/project coordinator for this global effort to develop an online educational, promotional and sales portal. Project includes use of various online approaches as well as television and interactive applications. Expected to be announced in 2011.  Shirocos.com. Co-developer/Owner of innovative small retail store model that seeks to integrate interactive technology into brick-a-mortar gourmet and home accessories store in Northern California. Model seeks to empower Main Street commercial enterprises with added tools for developing economies of scale and to demonstrate how creative technologies can be used by the smallest of small businesses. RECENT Nonprofit / Community Service Initiatives (Selected) Professional Development Consultant, First 5 Solano County. Helped write the draft and project narrative elements of the State of California’s local CARES Plus Phase I initiative to offer college and professional skills advancement to early childhood educators and childcare personnel. Project includes sections on using online training and gaming tools for learning. This proposal was identified as the best proposal ever submitted on the topic and was awarded start-up funding; program dollars will be determined shortly through an additional plan for action. Consulting Grant Writer, Grant Writing Partnership. Currently serve as a consultant who is periodically assigned to various writing and proposal packages for diverse clients, mostly Title 1 (Low Income) schools.
