During my tenure as director of development, I have been continually amazed by the many extraordinary qualities of this very special community – especially the remarkable generosity of our alumni, parents, and friends. Once again, that generosity has led EHS to a highly successful development year. Support remained robust across all constituencies, resulting in strong performances for both the Roll Call and The Promise Campaign. The EHS Roll Call, ensuring essential annual operating support for the School, again raised commitments of $2.6 million.  This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the work of our many committed volunteers – class chairs, reunion leaders, callers, and involved parents.  Their involvement and hard work have become an increasingly important part of our overall development effort, and the dedication and energy they bring to our initiatives is truly inspiring.  Their achievements, and a detailed review of the year’s highlights, are found in the following pages.   The EHS Promise, the School’s $85 million capital and endowment effort, also recorded clear progress during the year, moving past the $80 million mark as we enter the final year of the Campaign. We are especially indebted to the generosity of over 100 additional parents who stepped forward this year and responded to the Parents’ Promise effort.   As Townsend Hall begins to take shape this fall, our attention moves more fully to the final objective of the Campaign, which will bolster our financial aid program for middle-income families.  This endowment will ensure that deserving students from these families – who have been so important to the School over the many years – continue to have access to an EHS education.   In conclusion, let me again express our gratitude to all of you who continue to support and strengthen this great School.  Your commitment ensures the legacy and value of the EHS experience, and we are most grateful.
