Eternal Youth In A Bottle

As for Benoa Bay reclamation issue

Duly parliament adopts coastal communities’ aspiration

The latest breakthrough in antiaging is now available at the BIMC Hospital CosMedic Centre in Nusa Dua. This cutting-edge technology is also known “growth factor” or GF and is obtainable in the convenient forms of serums and skincare for topical application. But first, what are growth factors? Every cell in your skin produces certain proteins known as growth factors, which are responsible for a variety of activities including growth, repair and maintenance of healthy skin. As you age,

your body would produce less and less growth factors, resulting in the breakdown of collagen. This can now be reversed with the use of GF, which works with cytokines and antioxidants to repair, resurface and regenerate aging, damaged skin for a youthful, vibrant complexion without expensive and painful plastic or cosmetic surgery. The CosMedic Centre has found that the best source of GF for skin comes from human fibroblast cells. This finding has been supported by numerous scientific publications

DENPASAR - Different stance is demonstrated by people’s representatives in charge of the Bali House of Representatives. If the legislators of Bali only forwarded people’s aspiration that rejects the Benoa Bay reclamation to the president, then the representatives of Balinese people in the central House of Representatives even expressly rejected and asked the Benoa Bay reclamation plan to be terminated. “Now, the entire customary villages in the coastal areas have declared their stance to reject the Benoa Bay reclamation, except for one customary village that has not. However, its residents and the youth have expressed their stance by installing billboard. On that account, Made Urip, a member of the central House of Representatives from Bali has conveyed the people’s aspirations that firmly rejected it,” said Chairman of the LPM Tanjung Benoa, I Kadek Duarsa, when confirmed on Tuesday (Nov. 29). In contrast to the stance of the member of the central House of Representatives, added Duarsa, the stance of the Bali House of Representatives is still questionable. Is it true that Bali House of Representatives has positioned itself as the people’s representatives? Actually, the people of customary village in the coastal areas have expressed their The beautiful Benoa Bays

rejection against the Benoa Bay reclamation. Similarly, the customary people coalesced in the Pasubayan (association) of customary village rejecting Benoa Bay reclamation has already stated their stance statement for several times to the Bali House of Representatives. “However, the Bali House of Representatives only give open and normative statement by conveying it to the president. Until now, we are still in doubt with the Bali House of Representatives whether they know about the people’s aspirations or not. They should come down to customary villages, whether or not they truly express the opposition,” he explained. Duarsa added that aspirations of the coastal communities should be adopted as well in the issuance of the environmental impact analysis (EIA) of the Benoa Bay reclamation following the impacts to be experienced by coastal communities as a result of the reclamation. Environmental preservation must be put forward, lest there are other interests in disguise. Moreover, there are material interests by selling ‘home,’ environment and Balinese culture. “As coastal residents, we are very concerned with the environment, nature and culture of our own. I personally do not want there are things beyond environmental, cultural and our natural preservation ridden with illogical interests or personal interests, political and even material interests. Hopefully, there is nothing like that,” he said.

Coordinator of the pasubayan, I Wayan Swarsa, said that if the legislators really position themselves as people’s representatives, the real aspirations on the rejection of Balinese customary community will get the attention of the central House of Representatives and Bali House of Representatives. Moreover, the aspiration revealed by the Pasubayan represents not a small number of customary communities. “It should also become the basis for the rejection or at least to cancel or move (the reclamation) to appropriate location. In other words, it is really a rejection of customary people serving as the basis for legislators of the central House of Representatives as implementation of the people’s representatives,” said chief of Kuta customary village. Swarsa added that if the reclamation plan is forced by the government and supported by the parliament, and goes up against the existing facts, he is confident it will make Bali increasingly less conducive in the future. On that account, even though the legislators are from political parties, the real people’s aspirations on the rejection against the reclamation should be still fought. “Those obviously rejecting are clearly visible, who supports? At most, they are only a few. So far, there are no customary village institutions expressing their support to the reclamation. Legislators are not necessarily political, but as part of the community they do not regard of what political party they come from,” he concluded. (kmb32) IBP/file

Having no building permit

Hotel Maha Ungasan threatened to be sealed

MANGUPURA - Hotel Maha Ungasan is threatened to be sealed by the Badung municipal police. It happens because the tourist accommodation located at Ungasan village, South Kuta, has not owned yet a building permit (IMB) and hotel operational permit. This issue emerged in a meeting at the office of the municipal police

with a number of agencies such as the Badung municipal police, integrated licensing office (BPPT), police officers and representative of the hotel imposed with the sealing sanction, Tuesday (Nov. 29). “We have done a persuasive action by summoning and making coordination with the hotel management so that they could submit the

licensing first before opening the hotel. Moreover, we have reprimanded for three times before taking decisive action,” said Chief of Badung Municipal Police, Ketut Martha. According to him, such action has been in accordance with the instruction of the regent of Badung, No.600/2016 dated on November 1, 2016. As planned, the execution

will be carried out in December. “We will carry out the sealing on December 5, 2016. Similarly, we have informed to the three lawyers of hotel owner related to the sealing action,” he explained. Related to the fears of opposition by the hotel management, Ketut Martha admitted not to give a damn. His agency will team up

with police authorities to secure the enforcement so that the hotel sealing will be conducive. “This action has been in conformity with judicial aspects and the orders of superiors. Whether they will file a lawsuit later on, we are also ready. Obviously, the hotel is operating without permission,” he concluded. (kmb27)
