Real estate with a real difference.
My passion for all things real estate is based on creating value and great experiences for owners, occupiers and visitors across a huge variety of real estate.
I do this by surrounding myself and collaborating with the best people —
by having a wide-ranging and unrivalled network of individual specialists and by utilising technology solutions.
After all, collaboration and agility produce great outcomes for all.
As a highly experienced real estate professional, I specialise in consultancy, business and property-level strategy, as well as business transformation.
I have managed across all commercial real estate classes, with experience in the UK and across Europe,
acting for institutions, property companies, banks, high net worths and sovereign wealth funds.
I am client focused, having acted in effective client roles in the past and have wide experience in stakeholder management.
One word: expertise.
EXPERTISE
Stakeholder management
Larger assets covering substantial parts of a city have many stakeholders, all of whom require some form of interaction and management. At Covent Garden, for example, stakeholders ranged from the banks financing the owner, Westminster City Council, the owner of the neighbouring streets and infrastructure, The Covent Garden Area Trust, along
with a number of tenant groups and associations and, of course, the occupiers. In addition, the management of the professional team — lawyers, engineers, architects, consultants, ESG and Placemaking teams — all have an input and a part to play in the overall experience and output of real estate, whether for the owner, occupier or visitor.

Connections EXPERTISE
As a well-connected professional, I can reach out to MDs and CEOs of major real estate clients and advisors. I have built up a reliable network of contacts within the property world over many years covering specialisms from capital markets through to lease advisory, change management, occupier engagement, placemaking, ESG and many more.
I have used these extensive contacts to deliver an unrivalled service and solutions to clients, as well as investors. In addition, I successfully managed professional teams — lawyers, engineers, architects and consultants.

I am passionate about creating great places to live, work and play — Covent Garden, Carnaby, Chinatown and Brindley Place. I was instrumental in the strategy and the “setting of the scene” in what is known today as “Carnaby.”

Nelson Bakewell was a disruptor in a traditional market long before the term disrupter was first used. We were afraid of nothing and would present a nimble, agile solution to our clients, delivering at rapid pace service that was far superior to other agents at that time. This methodology allowed us to grow rapidly gaining household clients from Scottish Widows and Standard Life through to Sainsburys and RBS.

PROJECTS
Nelson Bakewell Growth & Development
I was very close to this client, actively growing the scope from one building to the entire UK portfolio. We worked together to create a team that was uniquely aligned to the client’s objectives and who were rewarded in a similar way.
Nuveen
With Henderson Global Investors (now Nuveen), I was effectively acting as ‘the client’ for many years, as they did not retain an
asset management team. I was responsible for driving asset management strategy, lettings, lease renewals and rent reviews, as well as managing the professional team.
Shaftesbury
I worked closely with the client team at Shaftesbury in Chinatown, always looking to enhance the value of the estate for shareholders.
Royal London Asset ManagementCapCo
On Covent Garden, my favourite management, I was heavily engaged with the development and leasing teams through to very detailed engagement
with the occupiers, both within the market and those of other owners, due to the extensive works that were undertaken on the estate.

PROJECTS
CBRE 2010 - 2018
My role here was to regain confidence in the property management team internally, to the clients and external market.
I achieved this by reinvigorating the team with new hires where necessary and introducing new skill sets such as technology and customer service. I developed a pitch team, together with appropriate collateral, resulting in additional revenue to the value of £20m over 8 years.
£41m revenue
£30bn
assets under management
800 staff
Setting up a focused CRM team ensured clear team objectives resulting in an enhanced service and outcome for the client.
I worked particularly closely with M&G where we formed a Partnership Board. This reviewed service delivery but also provided input on corporate activity through to market updates around deals, technology and best practices. The aim was to add real value thus delivering enhanced worth to the fund owners and investors at M&G.
