MOTIVATION LETTER It is a great honor for me as well as a great opportunity to present my candidature for SCORA regional assitant for americas of the period 2018 - 2019. My name is Javier enrique espinosa rivadeneyra, I am 27 years old and I am a senior medical student in the beautiful state of Veracruz, Mexico. For me to enter the medical school was a great personal challenge, because there were many obstacles to achieve my long-awaited dream, however when I finally could achieve it, in my first weeks of study I had this need to call it somehow do something different, something special that will allow me to develop as a human being and a future professional health, but that no university did not offer as such, it was when I first saw an activity on campus that had precisely what I was looking for, I saw this girl full of enthusiasm facilitating a session on reproductive health in a not so usual way (just ideal for me), she introduced herself as the LORA of SCORA of the local committee (what a strange word I thought), not knowing that those acronyms would define both for me over the years. I am interested so much in the activities, in the fact of being able to give others the opportunity to know and learn about topics as important as those that are handled in the committee, and that are at the same time so difficult to understand as to teach the population and even the comrades of the health area, especially in a country as sexist and machista as Mexico. This was the first big step for everything that would come later, my first general assembly, where I had the immense opportunity to meet people like that girl I met for the first time, such nice and above all passionate and committed to work (who it is more a gratification) that is done in each NMO, those days, sessions and trainings that were opened a door more in my mind and heart to improve day by day in each of the activities I did, and woke up in me the interest of being able to work continuously with people like those national officers I met, was a wake up call for me, is what I wanted to continue doing the rest of my days in medical school, combine that learning with all the activities that I could organize, being LORA would not be enough for me since I knew that with what I learned every day, in every activity carried out, in every online course, I was formed and expanded both my knowledge as my desire to be able to do more and contribute in some way to the lack of education in sexual and reproductive health of my city and my country, and why not, maybe the world at some point, because we define them ourselves. I could continue telling each one of the little things that made me fall in love with this committee (but one, two or three pages are not enough) and how little by little I got better at my job, getting experience and how the desire grew within me. not only do my part but to support others in theirs, share my little or much experience, but what if I can express in this space is that making my candidature to regional assistant is for the passion and love that I have for this committee, for what I consider I can contribute to make scora better in our region and how my commitment and dedication will be my best tools to be able to lead by example.

CAPACITY BULDING New trainings for SCORA Americas Region: carry out new trainings based on
the current problems of the region with the support of VPCB and the coaches that are part of the scora love. Increase the number of specialized trainers: encouraging the participation of SCORA members to take specialized trainings and that they in turn can replicate them in their NMOs. Replicate the trainings BEAST,HEAT, and IPED by online trainings: since not all the NORAs and active members of SCORA have the possibility of paying for a SRT, the specialized virtual training will help them learn, be passionate and replicate the training sessions. Train all NORAs to be able to be a facilitator of scora training : train the NORAs in training so that they can train their local officers, improve the activities they carry out and thus in this way they will also be encouraged to become certified trainer. SWG to create specialized training: with the collaboration in them new trainings will be created in topics that we do not yet cover and that are relevant for the region Encourage the NORAs to participate as the headquarters of the LACMA: since it is a problem in most of our countries and NMOs that present candidacies are very scarce, I will seek to increase the participation of national officers to this worshop
WORKING AS A TEAM Transmissions of the sessions of the Regional Meeting: work together with the SCORA-D to share the lessons of the regional sessions with those who do not have the means to attend a Regional Meeting but are passionate about the topics and want to learn. Scora x-change in the region: spread the exchanges in the region as well as the necessary tools to activate the SCORA x-change in the continent. Start campaigns with topics related to the problems of the region: Carry out a campaign every 2-3 months with a topic of adequate importance to the different sub regions.
SWG: Create news SWGs for the preparation of specific and up-todate manuals on SCORA topics suited to the sub-regions of the continent. Online meetings with the NORAs: maintain continuous contact with national officials, to follow up on their work and empower them in the improvement of their work, contributing ideas and working together with them.

Increase the work of NMOs such as Santa Lucia, Granada and Jamaica: collaborate to reactivate the work of NMOs that have not reported good results. Caption of NORA's ideas to increase their job and activities: through online meetings, to capture ideas that national officials can contribute as they contribute to the improvement of the work that is being carried out during the management, as I believe we can not be experts in everything and the work together greatly improves the results sought. Needs according to the sub region: According to each sub region, the problems are different, that is why it is necessary to work and direct this work according to the needs of each of them. Inclusive activities: promote with the national officials the inclusive activities since these are not handled in such a habitual way due to the taboos that exist in our continent, as well as to elaborate projects with pertinence of gender. Social minorities: work in collaboration with other NGOs to train and educate thematic of the social minorities of the different countries of the region.

Attending the Online Meetings for the Regional Team and the Standing Committee International Team: One of the priorities will be these online meetings to maintain good communication and collaboration for the maintenance of management activities. Online meetings with former Ra and Ex NORAS: although not an entirely new idea, I consider it a great option to motivate and guide the work of national officers.
GENERAL ACTIVITIES Assisting the LRA’s Annual Working Plans: bringing new and innovative ideas aimed at the work plan. Assisting in the implementation of the SCORA Director anual working plans: undoubtedly the first priority to maintain the lines of work.
