Marcello D’Amore - Messina, Italy Industrial and Commercial Farm Project I had the opportunity to learn the Design of industrial farms, the regulations and the design of the foundations, structural walls, and stone walls, roof steel structures and preliminary quanity surveying and bugeting.


CITY OF CASTELMOLA - ITALY CONSTRUCTION MANAGER PUBLIC CONSTRUCTIONS

Oversaw a reconstruction of a road around a mountain including Construction of retaining walls and gabions, water constructions, canals and wells for diverting water, drainage works, guard rails and tarmac applications and various other road-works. Management of the team (n°15 workers) & collaboration with private companies. I also oversaw implementation of amendments to the project as it progressed. I was site coordinator for Healthy and Safety and responsible for budgeting. Throughout this experience I mastered the importance of being responsible for a team of workers. During the experience of working on this construction site I learnt the practical foundations of civil engineering works, went through specialized training, workload organization, decision making and communication skills. I developed a comprehensive understanding of the need to utilize the skills of different members of the team because I believe that resourcefulness, firmness and tenacity are essential for achieving specific objectives and resolve problems.
