CITY OF MONROE LEGAL NOTICE AND NOTICE OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING THURSDAY, JULY 15, 2010 Mayor Bobby Kilgore of the City of Monroe has called a Special City Council Meeting to be held Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. The purpose of this meeting will be to hold a public hearing to allow public comment on the proposed upgrade of the Stewart Creek sewer outfall and pump station. The City is seeking funding in the amount of $13,169,307 from the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Construction Grants and Loans Section. The project will upgrade the existing sewer facilities that served the Stewart Creek drainage basin with larger facilities to serve the future sewer needs of this area.
