i wish i knew how to tell people i think about them. it’s silly how difficult it is for me to send a simple text, “i love u! i wore ur sweater today, hope ur doin well!:--)” it feels ingenuine to send these texts every day, especially when i try to spend as little time living in my screen as possible. as it turns out, the easiest way to tell someone i am thinking about them is to send them a photo i drew of them. i created this book, yes, because i wanted to draw all of my friends, to tell them i love them, and making a book forced me to do so in less than two months. but, also, i created this book because creativity has saved me i think. adult coloring books are a form of art therapy, of which i’m a firm believer can be beneficial to everyone. especially with coloring books, it forces people to focus on what colors they’re feeling, to

draw inside the lines with a touch of creativity and deep breaths to speed up the process. this book is every bit therapeutic to me as i hope it to be to you; this book is me. it’s me falling asleep in front of Bojack in my plaid pillows, it’s me on the floor of a friend’s room in the background of the conversation, it’s the anxiousness flowing through me after trying to take a nap for 3 hours and giving up because i’ll never be able to close my eyes. yes, you each got your own drawing and it felt gloriously rewarding to send each and every one of you a cartooned version of yourself via Facebook Message, but this book has been my version of therapy since the beginning of April. thank you all for your support. enjoy coloring, i love you!
