EARLY  FOREIGN  LANGUAGE  LERNING:  WHY  AND  HOW?  (P) Dr.  Sophie  Ioannou-­Georgiou,  Chair  of  the  Cyprus  Teachers  of  English  Association  (CyTEA)  Early  language  learning  has  been  gaining  momentum  over  the  last  few  years.  The  increased  attention  to   early  language  learning  is  also  resulting  in  increased  research  and  consequently  increased  knowledge.  The   presentation  will  discuss  some  of  this  new  knowledge  as  well  as  the  general  background  which  is  leading   to  rapid  developments  in  early  language  learning.  It  will  then  present  general  guidelines  as  to  how  early   language  learning  should  be  implemented  in  order  to  ensure  the  best  possible  results.
