What is self-directed support? Self-directed support (SDS) allows people to choose how their support is provided to them by giving them as much ongoing control as they want over the individual budget spent on their support. If you employ a support worker or carer you have a responsibility for paying wages, tax and National Insurance. In this instance many people find it helpful to use a specialised payroll service. Engage Renfrewshire can provide a comprehensive payroll service to individuals in receipt of Direct Payments through Self-Directed Support. If you are interested in the payroll service provided by Engage Renfrewshire please contact Claire Dorris or Jacqueline Carroll for more information: Engage Renfrewshire 10 Falcon Crescent Paisley PA3 1NS email@example.com 0141 887 7707

Engage Page Engage Renfrewshire Gain Excellence! Engage Renfrewshire aim to support and promote the views and ideas of local groups, organisations and individuals – and they have recently been recognised as an excellent organisation for doing just that! Last week the Company was awarded their ‘Committed to Excellence’ award at Quality Scotland's 22nd Scottish Awards for Business Excellence ceremony at the Roxburghe Hotel, Edinburgh. This high profile event was attended by over 300 professionals, including senior decision makers as well as numerous Ambassadors for Excellence across the public, private and third sectors – all of whom help support an aim of making excellence a national characteristic of Scotland. Chief Executive of Engage Renfrewshire Alan McNiven who attended the ceremony said; ‘Officers at Engage are charged with helping local third sector organisations achieve their goals. We work in partnership to support and offer advice on all aspects of volunteering, group and organisational development. Social Enterprise is also a key area for the company and significant work goes in to helping organisations decide if social enterprise is right for them. I was delighted to accept our award from David Bradley, Chief Executive of Quality Scotland on behalf of Engage Renfrewshire at the event. This award shows how far the Company has come in our first two years of operation.’ For information on the services provided by Engage Renfrewshire please contact 0141 887 7707.
