X Voice Drone I took my family camping a couple of months ago and the site was awash with drones. These are a step up from the remote control helicopters of old. The helicopters looked good but were difficult to control with the added danger that if you hit someone with the spinning rotor blades, major damage would be caused to both the copter and the person! Drones are easier to control and the blades are better protected so much safer to use. My youngest loves a drone so was first inline to test the new X voice drone that not only could you control with the handset but with your voice. By saying simple words such as “Take Off”, “Go Left”, “Dancing” etc. the drone obeys. There is an earpiece you loop over your ear and also holds a microphone boom. We had trouble making it fit

our ears but when it was on it worked great. Flight time was around 10 minutes. The blades are well protected and the box even comes with some spare ones. There is a return to controller function so if you are having problems controlling it just say “come home” and the X-Voice will return to the controller. The perfect drone for the beginner pilot or a more advanced pilot who wants to have some voice controlled fun! One thing to be wary of is that although it is small and looks well protected it can suffer from major crashes. Inevitably we lost control and smashed into the ground, but with superglue it was up and running soon enough. Big smiles and easy to control, we like it. www.sciencemuseumshop.com
