Who are Encompass? Since 2003 Encompass has been running local, national and international programmes that combine fun activities with workshops aimed at building confidence and helping young people to think about their own and others’ identities, communities and cultures. We also run programmes in schools on topics such as refugees, Britishness, identity and community. All of our programmes aim to give young people the skills and confidence to interact with others from different backgrounds and communities.
We work with a wide range of partners including schools, Westminster University, The John Lyons Trust, Voluntary Action Harrow as well as community groups across London and the UK. “I would recommend Encompass to the world. You could be anyone from anywhere, and you would fit right in. It will remind you that there are opportunities of hope and love around the world, build your self-confidence, become more clued up about the world, be more optimistic of the future, be open to others’ opinions and find the strength to create solutions to conflict.” UK participant, Encompass international programme 2016
