I take pleasure in portraying emotions that capture the innocence of youth and the wisdom of the elderly, often centering my attention on these age demographics for this very reason. ” Through meticulous attention to detail and compelling composition, Smallwood's paintings breathe life into their surroundings, transporting viewers to unfamiliar yet deeply meaningful places. Influenced by his older brother, Smallwood's artistic journey has spanned the country and overseas, endowing overlooked subjects with dignity and grace.
