Take the kids to Peter Pan Park, which has a top-notch disc golf course, playground, pond, horseshoes, civil war monument and memorial of William Allen White. Kids can view a Santa Fe train engine and caboose or take in a concert by the Emporia Municipal Band at historic Fremont Park. Jones Park has over 70 acres to explore and is well known for its disc golf courses. Jones Park has a playground, horseshoes and ponds.

Don’t miss Soden’s Grove Park nestled along the Cottonwood River. The east side of the park includes a baseball field, David Traylor Zoo and the Sertoma miniature train. On the west side across Commercial Street, is the All Veterans Memorial, and the trail head for the Cottonwood River Nature Trail. The rainbow arch bridge is a favorite local fishing spot.
