The nation’s favourite penguin is back and ready to boogie! Boogaloo is a brand new adventure from the loveable Pingu™ and features 9 hilarious episodes. Pingu and his friends fly a plane, ride a scooter and boogie in this fantastic collection of stories. And for the first time ever, meet Pingu’s brand new friend, Bajoo, the owner of some very large feet! Boogaloo contains 9 episodes and Special Features include two games - Find Bajoo the Abominable Snowman and Pingu’s Dancing Game.

This new series remains very true to its source. We still have a narrator (here it’s Tom Conti), and the frolics are very much on the gentler side of life. The gang have five-minutes of fun with balloons and birthday cakes, kites and paints, and any mishaps are quickly sorted so we can end with a smile. The new toybox characters blend well too - Missy Hissy being a particular favourite. With its candyland colours, and toe-tapping theme, this is perfect toddler fodder for today’s bright young things... “Andy Pandy” premiered on CBeebies and BBC2 in March 2002. That toe-tapping theme was composed by Cosgrove Hall regulars, Keith Hopwood and Phil Bush of Pluto Music. If you listen closely, their clever tune appears to incorporate elements of that old nursery favourite, “Round and Round the Garden” like a teddy bear, geddit?

HERMAN’S HERMITS April 1964-1971 Karl Green, bass guitar/vocals Keith Hopwood, lead & rhythm guitar/vocals Derek Leckenby, lead & rhythm guitar/vocals Peter Noone, lead vocals Barry Whitwam, drums/percussion

From their first release in 1964, Keith Hopwood, Karl Green, Lek Leckenby, Barry Whitwam and Peter Noone went on to sell more than 80 million records worldwide, before disbanding in 1972. Previously unreleased recordings have now been rediscovered from the time following their split, documenting the band’s first complete album of homegrown material. With Peter Noone departed and going solo, the other members joined up with an old friend from Manchester, Peter Cowap.

Peter Noone went on to sell more than 80 million records worldwide After Peter left the band, the other members joined up with an old friend from Manchester - Peter Cowap. Peter was a renowned singer/guitarist from Manchester and had achieved some recording success with his band The Country Gentlemen. He had also written and co-written tracks for Herman's Hermits' 1967 album Blaze. The Hermits' first release was She's a Lady/Gold Mandela. After this song the band started to write all their own material, resulting in a single The Man/Effen Curly, and went on to record A Whale of a Tale under the new moniker Sour Mash. Recording took place in Strawberry Studios, Stockport, in late 1971, and was produced with Eric Stewart, later of 10cc. Record company politics struck however, and the album was never released. This new CD contains demos and pre-production recordings of the album, along with other tracks from the same period. Sadly, Peter Cowap died in 1997...
