Emmegi’s history started back in 1970 in Limidi di Soliera (Modena, Italy) where our main headquarters are still found. QUADRA L3

PVC STEEL

QUADRA L3 20-axis CNC machining centre for drilling, cutting and milling all 6 sides of aluminium and light alloy profiles. QUADRA L3 is composed of an automatic magazine and a push-feed system for extruded profiles of up to 7500 mm, complete with gripper handling for clamping and traversing the profile in the operating unit. Automation enables loading the next bar by synchronising its feed with the simultaneous return of the gripper for the next pick-up. The milling module, two cutting modules and drilling module for head and end are located in the central part. The 4-axis CNC milling module, which consists of an exclusive turntable system, is equipped with 4 to 6 electrospindles that make it possible to machine any side of the profile, regardless of its orientation. The main cutting module is composed of a 600 mm diameter downstroke movement blade on three CNC axes. The secondary module is equipped with a 350 mm diameter blade with feed and rotation movements on a horizontal CNC axis. The milling module operating on 4 CNC axes is equipped with a dual unit that can machine on profile heads. QUADRA L3 is equipped with an automatic ejector to transfer the machined segment from the cutting unit to the unloading magazine. The unloading unit is composed of a transverse belts magazine and handles profiles with a maximum length of 4000 mm (optional 7500 mm). The central cab contains all work units, ensuring a high soundproofing standard and complete protection for the operator.

QUADRA L2 18-axis CNC machining centre for milling, drilling and cutting aluminium and light alloy profiles. QUADRA L2 is composed of an automatic magazine and a push feed system for profiles of up to 7500 mm in length, complete with gripper drive for profile clamping. Thanks to the gripper movement, the feeder returns to its starting position simultaneously allowing the loader to prepare the next profile. The milling module, the two cutting modules and the end milling module are located in the central area of the machine. The 4-axis CNC milling module is equipped with from 4 to 6 electrospindles that make it possible to machine any face of the workpiece irrespective of its orientation.

The main cutting module is composed of a 600 mm diameter blade with downstroke movement in three CNC axes. The secondary cutting module is equipped with a 350 mm diameter blade with feed and rotation movements on a horizontal CNC axis. The end milling module operates on two CNC axes by means of a cutters unit. QUADRA L2 also includes an automatic ejector to transfer the workpiece from the cutting unit to the unloading magazine. The unit is composed of a transverse belts magazine to unload machined workpieces of up to 4000 mm in length (optional 7500 mm). The central machining area of the machine features a soundproofed enclosure that protects the operator while also reducing the environmental noise impact.

CNC 12-axis machining centre, designed to perform milling, drilling and cutting operations aluminium and light alloys in general. QUADRA L1 is made up of an automatic tool magazine and a thrust feed system for profiles sized up to 7500 mm complete with profile clamping gripper drive. Due to the movement of the collet, the feeder returns to its initial position thus allowing the loader to prepare the next profile at the same time. In the central part are situated the milling module and the cutting module. The CNC 4-axis milling module is equipped with 4 up to 6 electrospindles and enables the whole contour of the workpiece to be machined, however it is oriented. The CNC 3-axis cutting module is made up of a Ă˜ 600 mm blade, with down stroking movement. QUADRA L1 also comprises an automatic outfeed unit leading from the cutting unit to the unloading magazine. The unit is made up of a magazine with transverse belts for unloading machined workpieces with a length of up to 4000 mm (7500 mm optional). The machining unit can be fitted with a cabin (optional) soundproofing the central operational part, which not only protects the operator but also reduces the acoustic impact on the environment.

NC 13-axis machining centre, designed to perform milling, drilling and cutting operations on aluminium and light alloys in general. It can be optionally equipped with an end-milling unit. QUADRA Lzero is made up of an automatic profile magazine and a thrust feed system for profiles sized up to 7500 mm complete with profile clamping gripper drive. SATELLITE XTE

SATELLITE XTE 5-axes CNC mobile gantry machining centre, designed to run milling, drilling, threading and cutting processes on large bars in aluminium, PVC, light alloys and steel. The mobile part of the machine mainly consists of a gantry equipped with precision motorisation rack. The high-power electrospindle (15 kW in S1) with HSK-63F tool connection allows even heavy-duty machining to be run with excellent speed and accurate results. The new local safety cab was designed to combine top functionality, accessibility, soundproofing and light with safety and ergonomic requirements. The operator has broad glazed surfaces to check machining execution and, thanks to the total opening system of the cab in two separate parts, easy access during cleaning and maintenance. The cab interior includes the complete segregation of the work area from the remaining sections of the tool magazine and other accessories supplied on the trolley, ensuring maximum chip collection towards the conveyor belt and, as optional, dedicated extraction of machining fumes.

The 24-place tool magazine is housed in the mobile gantry; it is equipped with an exchanger arm system that considerably reduces tool change times. A 500 mm blade tool is housed separately in a dedicated magazine system. SATELLITE XTE features new servocontrolled clamps that, in double operation, independently position themselves in concurrent time with respect to the spindle machining processes in the opposite working field. The clamps, which are compact and sturdy, are easy to configure without the use of tools for geometric adjustments. The new stops enable complete coverage of the working field and disengage the area when machining profile heads. All CNC axes are absolute and do not require resetting upon restarting the machine.

The high power (15 kW in S1) electrically-driven spindle with HSK-63F tool holder allows machining operations, including heavy-duty work, with optimum results in terms of speed and accuracy. A 16-place tool magazine, is installed in the moving gantry structure.

The 500 mm blade is housed separately in a dedicated magazine. The machine can be used in double mode so as to minimize machine downtime, as it enables to change the workpiece (load/unload) while the machine is running . With the dynamic double mode is possible to improve this feature, since the positioning vices can be done completely independently from the gantry. It is also possible process workpieces between the two work areas The gantry is equipped with a guard which, as well as protecting the operator, also reduces noise and environmental impact.

Machining centre CNC with 4 controlled axes, used for the working of bars or aluminium, PVC, light alloys in general and steel pieces up to 2 mm. Automatically positioned clamp unit. All models can operate in single piece and multi piece mode, with a single work area for bars up to 7.7 m in length. The PHANTOMATIC X6 and PHANTOMATIC X6 HP models allow machining in pendular mode, with two independent machining areas. The PHANTOMATIC X6 HP version, with 2 supplementary axes to position the clamps and the reference stops allows operation in dynamic pendular mode, carrying out clamps positioning while the machine is working. It has an 8 place tools storage, on the on X axis truck, with the possibility of hosting an angular units and one milling disc, to perform machining on the 5 sides of the piece. The 4th CN axis allows the electro spindle to continuously rotate to from 0째 to 180째 to perform the work on the profile edge.

Aided by an optional copy router lift, the operator places the bundles on the step-by-step accumulation-operated loader bench (max. 4-5 bundles). A motor-driven roller then brings the bundle onto

the cutting unit, which carries out an initial trimming of the bundle and then the subsequent customised cutting (work cycle set by software). Cutting swarf is discharged automatically by displacement of the central roller conveyor applied to the cutting unit. FUSION 4H is the horizontal NC welding machine for welding of PVC profiles withseamless finish on the visible surfaces of doors and windows frames. Produced in three sizes, it allows manufacturing frames through the simultaneous or selectable welding of the four 90° angles. The machine is preset with manual loading and automatic unloading. Conceived to meet ergonomics and safety principles in the best way, the light indicators and the welding head movements allow the operator to interact with the machine in a simple and intuitive manner. Both during profile loading and in the following heating and welding steps, the lights provided on the heads clearly indicate the profile to be positioned and, when necessary, the pair of heads gets close to the operator to allow the correct and easy piece positioning. All the cycle variables (times, speeds, etc.) are programmable and can be set automatically in the machine. FUSION 4H can also be used in standard welding mode with 2 mm bead. A patented electronic adjustment system is available upon request, which allows managing the welding bead size in a range from a minimum of 0.2 mm up to a maximum of 2 mm. It’s also compatible with the Seamless counterblocks (pending patent), which enable achieving bead-free welding on the corners of the frame. This system significantly simplifies and reduces the subsequent machining cycle, with major benefits on productivity and result quality.

Trimmer 2A - 4A is a CNC corner cleaning machine for PVC frames with 2 interpolated axes and automatic cycle which, when suitably configured, is able to recognize the size of the profile to be cleaned. It has a 275 mm diameter knife which allows, with different work programs, cleaning the outer corner on various profiles. Trimmer 2A 4A also has top and bottom units with knife for cleaning the welding beads plus top and bottom units with knives for cleaning the inner corners. Machining of the inner and outer corners can be completed with the top and bottom drilling/milling units for cleaning the corners or gasket grooves. The machining units can be programmed independently from each other via a CNC PC which controls programming of the profiles and machine operation (manual or automatic mode). ZERO-G ZERO-G is an exclusively pneumatic manipulator for handling flat glazing and windows in absolute safety. By means of the load gripping equipment the spatial positioning of the object handled can be monitored constantly across an extensive working area. Its ergonomic design allows for tilt and rotation movements that ensure high speed and flexibility throughout the entire work process.

The suction cup gripping system in conjunction with the weight balancing system enable movements to be made along two axes throughout a working area having a diameter of up to 6000 mm. The configuration on a free-standing base allows maximum freedom of movement within the production facility.
