History The Succop Conservancy was established to provide an environmental and cultural education center for the community in Butler County and all of Western Pennsylvania. The estate was graciously donated to the Butler County Community College Education Foundation in 2001 by Tom and Jo Ann Succop. The centerpiece of this 50 acre country estate is the stately 1830’s Marcraig House which is available to groups for important events and functions. The Succop Conservancy is also home to Heritage School at The Conservancy, a folk arts school that teaches classes in timehonored trades and crafts such as blacksmithing, woodworking, stained glass design and Native American culture.
