Lord, we are grateful for your never-ending love and provision. We give you all the glory for all the opportunities you gave us to show your character, your love and bring your kingdom a little more amongst us. We thank you for touching our lives, for the body of Christ who faithfully and generously enable us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We love you Lord, and we praise you as we look at 2022 and see your hand of protection and your grace.

Dear Emmanuel Family,

My father Pastor Josue Lopez went with the Lord in 2020. It has been hard losing our founder, pastor, father, and friend. We miss him dearly. But I know in my heart, there is nothing he wanted more than for everyone to know Jesus Christ. He knew the only answer for healing and transforming lives and generations is through the power of God. We are grateful for His legacy and for the privilege to serve the Lord serving children and families in need of Him.

During 2022, the Lord gave us the opportunity to care for 50 children and see the Lord move in their lives and in their families. Words cannot describe the joy we feel when we see our children get better, be happier, be healthier, go to school, learn, and receive love and care and the gift of hope, the opportunity to know God and feel His love.

We could not do this work without the prayers and support of all the Emmanuel Family. We want to thank you for your love, prayers, and support for 2022. Thanks to your faithfulness and generosity we were able to grow our income 7.6% relative to 2021.

Our Sponsor families have been so wonderful supporting our children through these past two years during the pandemic and our buildings burning. We are so grateful you held on with us as all our children came back.

We are so grateful for several new churches that have committed to support us in our care of the children, becoming monthly donors and partners in saving lives and rescuing destinies.

Thank you for despite financial fear and instability we live in, you trust The Provider of all things and you are faithful to helping these little ones know Him!

Our children have fun learning about Jesus on Wednesdays during our children’s service. They love their club activities like art, dance, bible class, computer class, homework, tutoring and play time. Our children are busy!

We serve children, it’s very fun for us to provide opportunities for fun and celebration. Birthdays, Christmas, Graduations, pool parties, pizza and trampoline outings and costume parties are all part of the life of our beautiful children. We thank you for making our children’s lives happy!

Children with different needs

For decades we have cared for children from all over our country. Many times, we have been unable to help children because of their challenging behavior. We always wondered how we could help these children adapt and be benefited by our Emmanuel Family. We even made the mistake to catalog these children as “problem children.” Nevertheless, we recently had the testimony of an adult who was diagnosed within the autism spectrum as an adult. This explained his difficult childhood and after diagnosis and treatment he discovered he could better relate to the rest of the world and the people around him. He shared about the specific alert signs of children who could have a neurological condition or some sort of development disorder.

50 children were saved from neglect and suffering. They received shelter, nutritious meals, education, medical and dental care, specialized therapy and the love and care of our Emmanuel staff. We shared the love of the Lord through the salvation of Jesus to our children and their families.

We now know that in Mexico almost 17% (more than 20 million) suffer from some form of disability. 5% suffer from a physical disability, 12% suffer from some sort of mental disorder, 6% are children.

We have 25% of our children at Emmanuel Children’s Home who need to be diagnosed, understood, treated and integrated into daily activities from as simple as bedtime and as complicated as going to school to learn.

We believe the Lord is calling us to care for these little ones who are rejected everywhere else. We are asking the Lord to give us the resources to serve them and help them in their process as they receive proper care and medical attention to make their futures a brighter possibility. Please help us pray as we respond to this very urgent need amongst our children.

The Lord provided not only for our children’s home, but we were able to share food with the children’s families, people in our community that were in need, and other organizations like shelters for immigrants. 6160 meals were shared with people in need.

We shared clothes, toys, school supplies and food with 150 children from our community including children from the immigration shelters.

We continue to support 13 pastors/ missionaries to the south of Mexico. We believe the word of God and the message of salvation is essential to bring God’s kingdom. We feel blessed to welcome and support all in the body of Christ for His work and His glory.

We had the opportunity to bless two of our children’s families with a refurbishing of their home living circumstances. One of our families did not have a working bathroom or sewer working making their living conditions very challenging. We cleaned, painted, patched, replaced old mattresses, furniture and gave them an indoor bathroom and shower. To see the disbelief in the faces of the children and families as they saw their new place is priceless. Thank you for your love and support that allows us to show God’s love outside our four walls.

We were able to refurbish two of our children’s families homes – cleaning, remodeling and providing basic needs like beds, stoves, and rebuiling their bathrooms.

Our ministry is blessed to receive visitors from different parts of the United States to pray, encourage, support and love our children, staff, and community. This year we were privileged to have a full-time intern from Minnesota. You Rock Bekah Rockford! Thank you for giving us a year of your life!

We are blessed to have the best staff ever! Our chefs, dorm moms, teachers, admin staff and maintenance crew are people who love the Lord and feel called to love our children and serve them as their own. Thank you God, for giving us the ability, strength, health, patience, resources, and love to show your love to these beautiful children each day!

The New Frontier

WE ARE BUILDING A NEW SCHOOL

We have begun the rebuild! We are building our school!

Since November of 2020, after we lost our buildings to an electrical fire, the Lord has been providing what we need to continue serving children from underprivileged circumstances. With your support we refit two buildings that now make Emmanuel Children’s Home. Our church building serves as our boys’ dorm and the green building serves as our girls dorm, kitchen, and cafeteria as well as offices. We are grateful our children are comfortable and feel safe in our new home, now at the bottom of the hill.

But we need our school building. Our children need their own school given their difficult situations and special circumstances. We continue to have many issues with the public education system, teachers who are not sensitive to the needs of our children and the situations they are going through. Most importantly, public school does not teach any Christian values. We want to give our children not only the opportunity of a good education but a Christ centered one.

The great news is that, by the grace of God, and with the support of all of you and our brethren from Giving Hands, we are excited to be in the process of building a structure that will serve as our school. By this summer (2023), we will have the basic structure in place, ready for all God’s cavalry to participate in many tasks to complete project. From specialized jobs like framing, electrical, plumbing, flooring, etc., to sanding, painting and simple clean up, our goal is to have a school ready for our children for the 2023-2024 school year.

Of the donations to Emmanuel Ministries, 90% are used for programs directly, benefiting children in need, their families, and our community.
