ROAD ANGELS PRESENTATION

Why are more and more drivers switching companies at an alarming rate?

LACK OF EMPLOYEE BENEFITS is one of the reasons why trucking companies lose around 1/4 of their workforce within a year.

According to Blue Ink Tech, the turnover rate within the trucking industry is around 90%. One reason is due to a lack of employee benefits. This leads drivers to seek employment elsewhere.

Handling paperwork when a truck driver quits, followed by screening and interviewing new candidates, can be a frustrating, costly, and time-consuming experience. Plus, training a new replacement can take weeks, reducing the productivity and profitability of a business.

The downside of “list billing.”

To help retain employees, sometimes trucking companies offer voluntary insurance benefits through a system called “list billing.”

This system may be convenient for employees and insurance companies, but it can be a nightmare for office administrators. This is because when changes to their benefits are made or problems occur, it is up to the administrator to help fix them.

It is an overwhelming system that can cost a trucking company time and money.

Administrators face a frustrating experience with list billing whenever:

• An employee quits

• An employee’s policy is canceled.

• Premiums are adjusted.

• New benefits or beneficiaries are added to an existing plan.

• The insurance company does not cooperate.

• The insurance agent makes mistakes and/or neglects your company.

• Mistakes need immediate correction.

• A claim is filed.

Setting up a list bill system may not always be the best choice.

Offering insurance benefits can certainly help with employee retention, but not all insurance companies have the best or the right coverage.

“POOR HEALTH” MAY DENY GOOD INSURANCE COVERAGE.

Most insurance companies use an aggressive, selective, and almost discriminatory approach to truck drivers who suffer from a health condition.

According to research, over half of the population in many parts of Texas doesn’t have health insurance. This opens the door to more health issues.

• Over 40% of the population suffers from Kidney disease.

• Over 50% of the population suffers from Diabetes.

• Over 75% have taken high blood pressure medication at some point.

• Over 80% of the population is considered to be obese.

Also, the physical demands help increase the chances of injuries, such as knee injuries, allowing insurance companies to deny coverage or charge a higher premium.

Lastly, those who suffered from Covid-19 can also be denied coverage.

“We say goodbye to them not knowing if it will be our last.”

Unfortunately, truck drivers also face immediate danger each time they are on the road. According to research, 5,370 people were killed in truck accidents in 2022.

If a truck driver passes away in another city or state, and the family wishes to return his remains home, there are two options: transporting the body by ground transportation or shipping the body by air.

Most funeral homes offer ground transportation at about $4.00 per mile. This does not include collecting the deceased from the place of death and preparing the body for shipping, casket fees, or other additional charges. Each state has different rules for funeral services, which can affect how a deceased person’s remains can be transported. Some states have legislation that requires a body to be embalmed to cross a state line. Making it more expensive.

If the distance is too far, then air transportation will be required.

A funeral home that offers shipping services (ground or air) will charge a family between $4,000 to $10,000. This does not include the cost of local funeral and cemetery services.

For truck drivers, staying safe on the road is always a top priority. They focus on what they do best –delivering goods safely and efficiently.

Our job is to take care of the rest, using our industry-leading protection services.

Why it makes sense to use our services

For over 20 years, we have helped countless clients find the right coverage for their needs. While other insurance companies deny or limit their coverage for clients who are overweight or suffer from series health conditions such as Cancer, Kidney Failure, Aids, and Diabetes, we make sure that those clients get coverage as well. Our plans don’t require medical exams and most people qualify. We believe that insurance coverage should be easy, accessible, and stress-free for every employee and their families.

We offer truck drivers the freedom to choose their plans and pay their premiums from their preferred bank account.

Not only does it give them the flexibility they need but also guarantees immediate coverage.

Why offer this type of insurance coverage?

Simple. We also come from a family of truck drivers, and we know what they go through to provide for their loved ones. They spend weeks, sometimes over a month, on the road. Each day, they take a risk, but they never complain. So, we want the best for them and their families. We are always on the lookout for the best coverage with affordable premiums.

We know that truck drivers are very important to you, and to them, their job and their families’ future is what matters most.

We’ll help them get home, no matter what happens.

We focus on helping truck drivers get medical attention while on the road, and financial support for their families in the event of death.

WE OFFER COVERAGE THAT MAKES SENSE
