RESIDENTIAL The design of interiors with a focus upon residential spaces for people aging in place. Utilizing AutoCAD, SketchUP, and hand rendering to develop a apartment adequate for one who is aging in place.

SPACE AND COLOR THEORY Study of color theory as it applies to the built environment. Designing and building a small scale model of a pavilion with the knowledge of colors that recede or advance visually.

DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS A design introduction to the traditions of space, form, light and color perception. Freehand sketching, and mechanical drawing used to create spatial representations.

DESIGN PROCESS AND THEORY Introduction to the application of interior design and architectural theory within the design process. With the knowledge of the golden ratio and the human scale we developed projects based upon these proportions.

DIGITAL MEDIA IN LIGHTING This course is focused upon industry-specific digital media used in architectural lighting design. We learned how to utilize AutoCAD to create architectural lighting design documents, how to generate day lighting and electric lighting calculations though the AGi32 software, and how to craft renderings through a blending of by hand and digital renderings from AGi32 and Adobe Photoshop.
