Let us take care of your business Situated by the Embankment in Peterborough, the Vivacity Key Theatre is a contemporary plate glass venue, perfect for any number of corporate events and activities. Let your delegates’ creativity flow in this inspiring, riverside location with conferences, workshops, interviews and away days all surrounded by nature and culture. Vivacity’s Key Theatre is less than 5 minutes from the city centre and is served by excellent public transport links. Peterborough train station is a short 10 minute walk with the nearest bus stop even closer at only 5 minutes on foot. Ample public parking is also available to the front of the venue with 3 others within 5 minutes walking distance. Details on page 5. Our two auditoriums boast comfortable tiered seating, meaning everyone gets the perfect view with no obstructions. Our main auditorium has a capacity of 360 and is the ideal space for keynote speakers, panel discussions and large presentations. Our studio auditorium holds 112 retractable seats and is a more intimate space that is ideal for lectures, smaller presentations, and even breakout workshops. The jewel in our crown is the Spires room, a purpose fitted and versatile conference room which boasts relaxing grassland views, state of the art audio visual equipment and light refreshment facilities.
We also offer a selection of flexible, smaller sized meeting rooms that can be arranged to suit almost any requirement. Our fully licensed Riverside bar also features riverside views, perfect for more relaxed functions, seating up to 90 people comfortably. In addition, the Key Theatre has breakout rooms and outdoor spaces that can be used for training days, recruitment centres, examinations, exhibitions and product launches. Our dedicated technical team can also fulfil any audio or visual needs. Finally, our Riverside restaurant is open for pre-theatre and casual dining throughout the year. Our seasonal menu caters for a multitude of tastes, using only the finest local ingredients. Main auditorium Our purpose built main auditorium contains 360 seats that provide an unobstructed view of the stage no matter where you’re sitting.
Professional sound and lighting equipment plus movable flats and tabs mean that the space can be adapted to suit any occasion or atmosphere, with a technician onhand to make the changes for you.
There is also disabled access with seating to accommodate a maximum of 6 wheelchairs at the rear of the auditorium.

Willow room
Swan room
The Willow room is a secluded and adaptable space, perfect for private functions.
Full length windows to the front of the Swan room allow a relaxing view of the River Nene and Embankment.
Located towards the rear of the Key Theatre this space features one full length mirrored wall, a cushioned floor and brick fascia on the remaining walls.
Natural light, a mirrored wall and a cushioned wooden floor makes the swan room ideal for meetings, workshops and breakout sessions. The Swan room is located on the ground floor.
Fully accessible through both the front entrance and the main stage. The Willow room is an excellent space for networking events, exhibitions, workshops and rehearsals.
