The mastectomy was successful, and the cancer had not spread to any other areas; they did no follow up chemotherapy or radiation. Audrejean followed a strict diet of much less beef, more chicken, and lots of vitamins and minerals. In 1983, however, she felt a pulling under her arm, and discovered another lump. Audrejean decided to just watch to make sure it didn’t grow, and follow a stricter diet and nutrition plan with many other alternative options. “A lot of people were scared for me,” said Audrejean. “They would ask if I was sure I was doing the right thing.” Audrejean explored many treatments. Soaking in a hot ginger bath while envisioning herself being healed, reciting words like “love, joy, and peace,” and many other words twice a day, as part of her word therapy, and being treated by a holistic doctor were her treatments. Audrejean sees this as a time when she “learned a lot about life,” and a time she learned to rely on God for healing.

Jeremiah 39:17-18” “One night when I was trying to go to bed, I had this inner voice telling me to read, so I reached for my Bible, and it opened to a passage that immediately caught my attention.” The verse Audrejean found that night is one she continually went back to in her following treatments, Jeremiah 39:17-18. “But I will rescue you on that day, declares the Lord; you will not be given into the hands of those you fear,” Jeremiah 39:17-18.
