Our Family is Committed to Yours.
Emeritus Senior Living In 1993, Emeritus began offering an alternative to seniors who could no longer live at home, yet did not require full-time skilled nursing home care. Since then, Emeritus has grown to become a leader in the assisted living industry, with one of the largest networks of assisted living, retirement and Alzheimer’s care communities in North America. Our primary goal is to provide the support residents need to live full and satisfying lives, while helping them maintain their independence and dignity. Each of our communities operates like a family-owned business. This gives our staff the flexibility to customize independent living programs and assisted living services to reflect resident’s individual needs and interests. As a result, each community maintains the unique personality that makes it special to its residents and their families. Yet, all communities embrace the same high standards that have made Emeritus a preferred choice for elder care and premier senior living.
mission statement We are passionately committed to making a difference in people’s lives by providing service of the highest quality and value in a safe, supportive environment, promoting the health, independence and social interaction of seniors.
We advocate for our residents and respect their privacy, dignity, individuality, and choice. We are customer-focused, constantly striving to perfect our services by catering to our residents’ personal needs and desires. We respect our employees by empowering them and valuing their initiative, creativity, and judgment.
Community We call our properties “communities” because at each location, we foster an atmosphere of family and community among staff and residents – a sense of place and belonging, of home.
Teamwork Our staff, our residents, and their families and friends are all equally important members of the Emeritus team. We strive to instill in all team members a sincere belief that their individual contributions are important to our residents’ well being – and to the success of our organization.
Value Emeritus believes that customer satisfaction and peace of mind are the greatest contributions we can make to our residents and their families. It is our goal to continually exceed the expectations of our residents, families, and employees by immediately addressing issues in a professional manner and constantly striving to deliver the highest level of customer value through exceptional quality service.
Our Family is Committed to Yours.
our promise Our promise is simple: “Our Family is Committed to Yours.” This promise is more than words – it is a deeply held belief shared by employees throughout all Emeritus communities. It is our commitment that we will make a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve by fostering an atmosphere of family and community – a sense of place and belonging, of home. Here at Emeritus, our residents truly are family to us, as we are to them.
family values Our promise is reflected in the Emeritus Family Values, seven principals our employees live by every day. As a member of the Emeritus family… • I welcome, smile and greet everyone I have contact with. • I am a problem solver by taking ownership of issues and searching for solutions. • I am a good listener and I communicate honestly with others. • I take pride in my appearance and in the appearance of our Emeritus home. • I am responsive to resident and family choices. • I strive to exceed the expectations of all those I come in contact with. • I make a difference every day.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia *
As we get older, many of us naturally need a helping hand– perhaps someone to help us get ready for the day, help manage our medications or prepare special meals. Sometimes that extra help is all we need to continue living safely on our own.
Some residents require even more assistance due to Alzheimer’s, dementia or other memory loss disorders. For these seniors, we offer an innovative program called Join Their Journey®. The premise is simple: Our specially trained staff joins residents in their moment, rather than trying to bring them into our reality. Our goal is to get to know each resident and his or her family, so that we can offer the right support for every stage of the disease process. Through this approach, we recognize individuality, encourage choices and help residents maintain their dignity by creating a safe, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.
Quality care for quality of life
Emeritus communities offer all the extra help you may need, but only when and if you need it. Our full range of assisted living services are designed to help you maintain or improve your health, so you can live as independently as possible. To ensure we meet individual needs, we use a state-of-the-art computerized assessment system, called the Vigilan Resident Evaluation Program, which helps us accurately evaluate, predict and monitor the appropriate assisted living services for each resident.
Retirement Living * Just wake up and take in the day!
Finally, you’ll have time to enjoy life and to trade your household chores for the joys of retirement living. Whether that’s volunteering for the art league or taking in an evening at the local theater, you’ll have the freedom to do what you like best. After all, you’ve earned the right to pursue what you enjoy most! Rest assured, our staff will go the extra mile to make your new life here enjoyable and rewarding. Our goal is to help you create the lifestyle you’ve always wanted, and most importantly, to foster the kind of community where you do more than just wave to your neighbors - you get to know them!
Short-Stay Respite * A great way to get to know us
If you want to experience living at an Emeritus community before making a permanent move, or you’re being discharged from a hospital or nursing care facility and aren’t quite ready to go home–consider short-stay respite care. You’ll receive the same services all residents enjoy in a fully furnished apartment–home-cooked meals, scheduled transportation, customized assisted living services and more. Short-stay respite is also a great option should you need a temporary place to live while a caregiver enjoys a well-deserved break.
Memories made for memories lost
Skilled Nursing & rehabilitation * Stay at the same community even if your health needs change
At select communities, Emeritus offers skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Whether it is short term or long term nursing care, our goal is to help residents function at the highest level possible. Emeritus provides a wide range of services to meet the needs of most residents.
Friendship Suites * Just right for many seniors
Perhaps you would love to live at an Emeritus Senior Living community, but you’re concerned about your budget. Or maybe you no longer want to live alone. Either way, we offer the perfect solution–friendship suites. Seniors are brought together to share a common apartment and cost savings, while receiving the same personalized attention, outstanding services and amenities that all residents enjoy.
Senior Day Program * A day with friends and fun
If you are living on your own or with family, you can also choose to spend the day with us through our structured senior day care program. Just as with full-time residents, our professional staff will work closely with you, your family members and physician to create an individualized care plan tailored to your needs. At the same time, you’ll meet new people and enjoy meaningful activities that enrich your life.
* Services available at select locations, per state regulations. Please contact your local community for availability.
